Even as a Giants fan now. My favorite World Series was the first one I watched, and that was seeing the Cubs break their 108-year-old curse. That was pure, unadulterated drama. And I'm glad I saw it live.

1:26 That call by the late Tom Cheek is an epic one. What a way to cap off a World Series. That home run by the Blue Jays' Joe Carter over the Phillies in 1993 was only the second time a home run has ended the series. The first was in 1960, when the Pirates' Bill Mazeroski hit one to give his team the win over the Yankees.

I wish the D-backs didn’t win that year. However Dont get me wrong. I honestly really like the Diamondbacks. All I’m saying is it would have been more preferable if they won in say ‘02 or ‘99 It’s just 01 was 9/11 and it’s just I wish that the Yankees or the Mets won that year. It would have been a huge moral booster for NY that they really needed. Non the less. The Dbacks earned that win

Why the heck are the cheating astros in this?! It should be in 2017 world series new York yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers. Yankees were cheated out of the 2017 world series. And possibly 28 world series titles for the best franchise in baseball. Damn you Houston you aren't champions... YOUR CHEATERS. AND COMMISSIONER MANFRED WAS A COWARD AND DIDN'T STRIP THEIR TITLE. I'm sorry it just that Houston Astros took cheating to a whole new level. However, I do like the astros legends like Nolan Ryan, Roger clemens, Craig Biggio, Jeff Bagwell, Andy pettitte, and Roy Oswalt.

Try the 1960 World Series (from Wikipedia) - The Yankees, winners of their 10th pennant in 12 years, outscored the Pirates 55-27 in this Series, out-hit them 91-60, out-batted them .338 to .256, hit 10 home runs to Pittsburgh's four (three of which came in Game 7), got two complete-game shutouts from Whitey Ford-and lost The 55 runs by the Yankees is a World Series record for most runs scored in a series. The Pirates won game seven 10-9 when Bill Mazeroski led off the ninth inning and hit the second pitch over the 406 sign at Forbes Field.

Not a Dodgers fan, but I don't think it really matters that the 2020 regular season was shortened. It was the same for everyone. 1981 was short too (around 100 games because of a strike) and no one thinks that championship was anything less than real. With the expanded playoffs, the regular season becomes more and more irrelevant anyway. 60 games 162 games 260 games. Either way all it does is determine who gets in the playoffs. LA got in, and LA won. Legit championship.

As a Mets fan it was nice to see everyone else celebrate championships. Watching other teams win makes me realize we will never win another championship. We are cursed and we are the new Cubs. It will be at least 5 more decades before the Mets win. We always find a way to blow it, ALWAYS! I was 15 years old when the Mets won it in 1986 and that is all I have and that's all I will ever have. Nice to see the Royals beat us badly in 5 games in 2015, I enjoyed that. I'm honest, not pessimistic and before the 2015 World Series I saw a Royals fan, he wished my team luck and I simply told him that the Mets aren't even going to make it a series. Fast forward to last year, we blew the NL lead to the Braves who won it all and we are about to blow it again!

Four of them were in hockey, most recently Los Angeles vs San Jose in 2014; only one in baseball, and it was the 2004 Red Sox (against the Yankees in the ALCS).
