Studies have actually been done that show that mice can survive completely fine in it. It would very likely be a good contender for stuff like oxygen equipment and even as the base for "white blood", artificial blood made completely without any red blood cells to carry oxygen. I mean it might be good for oxygen equipment butttttt you have to basically drown yourself in it and it's super uncomfortable, though I imagine given enough time it wouldn't feel awful and could be interesting for space missions.
