@@darknight6904 clone commandos operated in 4 man squads and were not assigned to major battalions. Color means nothing for commandos. They were deployed by higher ups and in the old novels by special operations command.

i mean commando gregor is not really in the 212th tho. commando's can be assigned to work under a certain battalion for a battle. but after the the battle the will just be under their own squad not a battalion. so i think you kinda made that mistake starwars comics. or maybe you thought it bc of his armor colour but commando's are not in a battalion no matter their colour. commando's all have their own armour most of the time. so you can even see 5 diffrent colours in 1 commando squad. but if i missed something plz tell me.

@@badpega6054 Well it's never really elaborated and like IRL spec ops (though due to classified information) their is a serious lack of information in current cannon regarding spec ops. But based on what I've scene and foxtrot group being listed under the twenty twelfth on their wiki page. I think works similarly to real life. In which you've got guys in ASOC (Army spec ops command) AFSOC (Airforce) NSWC (Navy) and MARSOC (Marines) vs Jsoc which is tier one being higher up and operates outside of general military branches think SEAL team six or Delta Force. But in the case of starwars it seems you have for lack of a better word lesser ARCs and lesser commandos attached to Corps and legions then more elite commando teams like Delta Squad or the Bad batch operating like American tier one units with alot of independence from the traditional military.

@@badpega6054 Logistically it makes sense cause it gives a Corp more tactical solutions to a vierty of problems. Like the average clone isn't going to be able to route out and counter a terrorist or insurgent network commandos can. And if they're attached to the Corp it's easy and quick access. Then you can have your elite few like Delta or Omega focusing on the real covert ops work. But it's all just a theory like the next season of clone wars could completely blow everything thus far out of the water. I hope in new cannon they take a chance to improve old legends. Don't get me wrong Travis told a good story. But as a special operations enthusiast I didn't really find the way she designed republic special ops practical. So I hope in new cannon they dive deeper into it and create something that feels more grounded either in season 7 of the clone wars or a standalone novel.

Harry Warden 501st was an Infantry Battalion meant for front lines warfare. The 212th was an elite battalion attached the the 7th Sky Corps. Cody was a Marshall Commander and had his own criteria for the clones who would be apart of the 212th. The 501st are pretty mainstream so obviously they’re a strong battalion but remember, the battle of Umbara had the 501st taking an Airfield and clearing surrounding areas while the 212th took the entire capital city

I like to think it wasn’t the wound that killed Waxxer, but the heartbreak.

Did anybody else notice that Cody and the at te gunner hesitated before shooting obi wan. That may be the reason he survived

VF Productions 501st were damn good but the 212th were a specialized Battalion attached to the 7th Sky Corps. Remember, on the Planet Umbara, the 501st were assigned to take and airfield and the surrounding areas, while the 212th took the entire Capital City. The 212th are Special forces. The 501st aren’t. But they did get more screen time so I get why people think they were

They had defeated an entire army of B2's essentially bare-handed, they had layed siege to Mygeeto (which was a giant droid factory) for 2 years straight. They were far more elite with them having specialised training directly based on Alpha-17s training given to Becara.
