Hill is definitely underrated, agreed! I’m pulling for him a bit, but man. Pereira’s power is different. And he’s very slick. Jamahal absolutely cannot get into those wild exchanges with him. Probably way too high a chance he gets caught with a cleaner strike. And his chin is granite. But can anybody at 205 eat a clean left hook from Alex? I don’t know. Either way, it should be fireworks.

If Jamahal didn't tear his achilles, I'd put this 50/50 pretty much. With that injury less than a year removed, I think it comes into play in this fight. I give it 65/35 for Poatan. 35% is still plenty to win, but getting calf kicked on that repaired achilles is going to hinder jamahal quite a bit I think. But, regardless, I am stoked for the fight.

Just purely non bias, they are both open to be hit and put out/down. The only difference is when Pereira hits you, you don’t come back and Jamahal is a little more Paulo Costa like he’ll put you down with a powerful flurry. Pereira by KO/TKO but it’s closer than people think

Honestly, Jamahal is more well-rounded but we've seen specialists who are dominant in one area and that came in handy when it mattered the most. People actually underrestimate Jamahal, we've seen Alex get wobbled and knocked out. I think Jamahal has a good chance in winning this fight. If he is smart he'll take the fight to the ground because Jamahal (chin and everything else) will be tested. It's a good fight, honestly. For me personally this fight is a good 50/50. With Alex it only takes one as we've seen many times now, I am curious to see how Jamahal will defend the legkicks and how he's gonna approach Alex. Same goes for Alex

His timing to beat people to the punch is great. What do you think about Hill just going for it round 1 before the leg kicks kill him and Alex has time to set range. It usually takes a while for Alex to start landing punches.

People act like Pereira is a demi-god, but he's actually very hittable. Hill has his wide stance and his fucked up achilles heel against him though... His striking defense could be better too.

The leg kicks are the most interesting factor I think. We need to remember the first leg kick Alex threw on Jiri, dropped him. And within the beginning of the second round, Jiri was already limping. And I think it's fair to say, Jamal has a wider stance than Jiri. Now on top of that, the problem Alex had with Jiri was the unconventional angles that was very hard to prepare for. In contrast, Jamal has a much more traditional striking style that Alex has been used to his entire kickboxing career.

I think Hill is a really good fighter but I notice his right hand is really low all the time, I think Alex will definitely catch him with his left hook if Hill has his right hand that low in their fight…. we all know what happens when Alex catches you with his left hook 😹

Pereira just needs to land one strike

As much as Jamahal has been talking about KO'ing Alex I just see him trying to wrestle and thats it

Its very deceptive, but in izzy's fights he actually got hurt more than in his last ones. He is more aware and defensively sound. Alex had to fight israel as a middleweigjht with a weak dehydrated body and had to keep up with the pace, now he fights like a big man

I’m not sure I see a regression in skill. Maybe more like his approach is a little different at 205. He’s carrying a bit more weight, so that could be a factor. Also, not making middleweight might just honestly have him less afraid of getting hit because he’s more confident in his chin. Personally I think Izzy brought out the best in him because Izzy is that damn dangerous. And Alex brought out the best in Izzy, too. I think either Hill or Pereira has the power and accuracy to put each other out cold. But I do think it would be a very wise investment for Jamahal to wrestle and get Alex thinking about the takedown. And got to watch out for those calf kicks. They are so sneaky and so damn nasty. Sure to be a great fight, just maybe not a super long one. Lol

It all depends on if Jamahal wrestles and goes for submissions (which he said he wont for some reason). And for that reason i gotta go with Alex in a standup match, just cleaner srriking.

Periera's KOs are way more clean

The only thing Alex does better than Hill on the feet is throw kicks. If Hill can keep the distance close he has more of a chance than people give him, just has to be willing to eat a left hook to do it.

Jamahal's hands down approach is going to cost him

Anyone can get knocked out. In that fight Pereira got careless and Izzy found the strongest hit he ever threw. At LHW Pereira can get knock out too, but I think he has better changes to get Hills than get got.
