For the life of me I never understood how Chiesa kept his # at worst and still somehow kept climbing the WW ladder. Getting embarrassed by Kevin lee at a presser is wild, but he does it to himself. He is average/below average striker, decent wrestler and somehow below average JJ despite being a blackbelt? The most confusing fighter of all time but the UFC liked pushing him for awhile bc of TUF

When he moved up to 170 he did really well for a couple years winning like 4-5 getting ranked then lost to Luque and he’s fallen out the rankings after getting subbed by Holland he’s a weird fighter he’s good but has so many weaknesses and can’t for the life of him defend a damn sub despite being a grappler
