I lost my brother, Mother, and Father......over the past 10 years...every 2-3 years one of them passed away...with many other issues with my family..... have caused it almost unbearable... almost shall I say: : "overwhelming" I used to hear this song when I was a child and rememeber thinking..this is a strong feeling and emotional song. Now I know why!!!!!!!...... from my own experiences. But God Speed to you as well and love to you. This song takes me back to a time when I thought all was good and people wathced out for me as a kid.....take care to all of you

My husband took me to see the movie evergreen on our first date. This song became “our song” and we had our first dance to it at our wedding reception. He died four years ago. He was in a coma and not responding to anyone or anything. I played this song and saw tears streaming down his face. I know he heard and understood it.

True.... But you can say that about literally hundreds of singers. Her talent isn't other worldly, nor generational. I literally know 2 people that could match. If you think she is some amazing, legendary, one of a kind singer, then you simply don't know music. And disregard so many other very talented singers. She is totally bolstered by the song quality, that and her very unique visual features. Lets be honest, if Barbara looked like Melissa McCarthy... well... you know the ending of that sentence.

We had a soloist sing this at our wedding 37 yrs ago today. Hubby passed away a few months ago, followed by Mom weeks later. @@lipby Whitney Houston was black. So is Aretha and Mariah (well half black). I hate when people get at them for their overuse of melisma. They are/were black singers.. that’s the cultural element of their singing styles. Most black singers come out of the church so that’s where that comes from. Same with the Québécois sound that comes out of Celine Dion. She gets criticized for being “nasal” when it’s just her accent from being French-Canadian.

I'm a huge Barbra Streisand fan and Evergreen is one of my favourite songs of hers. She has to be one of the best singers and actresses ever. She is brilliant.

I get goosebumps every time I watch this scene. Timeless.

She is and always will be the greatest singer of all time. Such pure notes such range. So beautiful

Lillian Eversole I’ve only seen the Gaga version and was bored stiff the whole way though. And I kept thinking “why doesn’t she get tried of this abusive husband.”

I was 8 when my dad showed me this stunning woman. He is 9 years gone and I showed this to my class in a residential school , teenages. After trying to be cool to Ice Cube, one of the 3 feel aspleep listening to this gentle love story.

When I was a kid in the early 80s I watched this movie with my family and this woman's voice moved us to complete silence!! We are an African Caribbean family and that's a very hard thing to do 😂😂😂 she has probably one of the greatest voices ever. ❤🎉

If you like Barbra, I strongly recommend you listen to Sissel Kyrkjebo - Norway's national treasure. Start with "Wait A While", then "Slow Down". You won't regret it. If you've seen Titanic, you've heard her voice.

Such an unbelievable voice that has endured for decades. Even now at 80 she can still sing great. She's the GOAT! of female vocalists in my opinion.

Quite possibly the best EVER vocal performance,when not really even trying. The best female vocalist of all time,singing a song that will forever be...evergreen.

I went to see Barbar Streisands, a star born seven times. She is the best female singer I have ever known. Tone perfection with every note. ❤ her voice and acting.

No matter how much I watch this, I am still so hypnotized!

I remember seeing this movie at a drive-in theater. I wish i could go back to that wonderful time in my life. Love was so much more back then.

Eternally beautiful song. Checking in May 2024.

I was twelve when this came out, it was on the radio all the time. Now that I am 58, I have revisited this and again realize what a masterful piece of work this is. Kudos to you, Barbra Streisand!

if you listen on a top notch audio system, the complexity of the sound she created is amazing. it's not like the crap they throw out on radio today - compressed and flat sonically. Barbra spent months perfecting a depth of sound on her tracks - it's simply unimaginable that artists now would put in the effort, or could even do it.

Me too…my late mom played this over and over. Now in my 50s I get chills listening to it, every time, it’s so beautiful.

I have always loved this song. I remember listening to it on the radio back in the day when we listened to our local radio stations and this was a hit - number 1 for a few weeks on Billboard’s weekly top 40. It is hard to imagine something like this topping the charts today- not because it isn’t still beautiful but because no one writes songs like this anymore.

I never get tired of her voice. She never had to scream into the mike like so many I won't name. A voice as pure as a high mountain stream❤

Her voice was at its pinnacle here. It’s simply sublime. What an artist. ❤️

Streisand's a magnificent musical instrument. I've been a huge fan since first seeing her in Funny Girl.

Perhaps the greatest entertainer of all time.

Kris looks as though he is in love with Barbra . Beautiful couple....

I'm 62 years old and misting up over my "memories". No pun intended. This song took the world by storm. Couldn't count how many times I sang this at weddings and there was never a dry eye in the house. She is truly the best songwriter and vocalist ever in my opinion. Thank you Ms. Streisand are so many beautiful moments!
