He knew that he had a talent that was a godly gift. But as all of the greatest artists, he was his most mercilessly critic himself. One can even see it when he sings, that he handles each note like the most important note of his life. All great artists are like that. The worst are usually the ones, who are convinced that they are doing perfectly fine.

As a Beatles lover, I can not relate to this particular view at all. nobody plays the Beatles' songs better than the Beatles did. Your statement is usually true of when a decent band covers a manufactured pop song like a britney spears one or something, and then you realise that the songs are acturally well made and it was actually just the image or connotation of the manufactured boy/girlband that was obstructing your judgment
@keep_walking_on_grass
2 ай бұрын
@@annehajdu8654I'm Paul's biggest admirer and this is his song, but in terms of their songwriting qualities, the Beatles as a whole are a phenomenon. A miracle. Many of their songs are covered by big stars and they are always incredible covers like Santana's while my guitar gently weeps or Aerosmiths come together or Michael Jackson's version. Pat Methenie's instrumental of And I love her. And countless more. I only see this phenomenon with the Beatles. Their songs are all classics without exception. They are the greatest band ever for a reason. Edit: Earth Wind & Fire Got to get you into my life.

Beautiful voice. I knew he was going to be a hit from his Wham album. I said to myself that boy can sing, and to think in the beginning, his father told him he couldn't. He just wanted George to work in their restaurant with him. George didn't want that, therefore he had daddy issues. Another talented singer was Boy George, unfortunately he let drugs ruin his voice and life. I saw him in a video done a few years ago and his voice IS NOT the same.

For him to just come out and begin the song without any intro shows that he has the gift of what's known as perfect pitch! The right pitch is just embedded in his brain. How I know this is because several music teachers have told my gifted grandson he has the same gift. Not comparing him to George Michael.. just say;ing! .Onc he hears a note or tune..it's there! George Michael had it all..emotion, soulful voice quality, his voice just transports you. RIP this is one of my favorite versions of this song, no disrespect to Paul McCartney!

@keep_walking_on_grass

Love to see Sinead O Connor there as a performer with a sense of humour, claiming the panties thrown on the stage as her tribute to George, whom she loved for his mental and business struggles, his talent and his integrity. George does a gorgeous job here , as ever.
