Si bien es cierto, al aplicar corriente a un material resistor , se calienta, y puede generar un arco eléctrico , debido a los gases que desprende , NO SIRVE PARA SOLDAR, ya que no aporta el metal fundido que hace la soldadura y la pieza que ha recibido el arco, se quemará, pero nunca quedará unida limpiamente a otra. Además el electrodo para soldar es muy barato y no se pierde precioso tiempo, desarmando baterías

Para formar arco necesita al menos 20 a 24 voltios, y de corriente no menos de 30 a 40 amperes... 😜

I dont think you are right. That is not normal tin solder. Much different color and also much harder by the way he uncoils it. I can't see the packet well enough to identify fully, but I believe that is gasless-MIG stainless steel welding wire. You could call that "stainless steel solder" if you want, but this melts at around 1300c compared to tin solder at ca 230c. This is why he needs to use a carbon (graphite) tip - it has an incredibly high melting point of 3700c. A regular soldering tip would melt before the stainless steel :P All welding types add more metal, but the difference between welding and soldering is that in welding a little of the original material melts and fuses strongly to the added metal of the same type. Tin soldering essentially just grips around other metals very strongly without fusing into one. Also it would not be very useful to tin solder a part used for cooking like this because it could easily melt on a stove. This setup has everything needed for very basic welding, but only very small things because that battery would be destroyed very quickly by continous operation. I would not risk the fire hazard of potentially damaging a lithium battery. There are many other types of batteries that are much safer to abuse for experiments like this and won't burn your house down when you kill it :P

So ein Unsinn. Der Akku ist für sowas nicht ausgelegt. Er wird bei Zeiten kaputt gehen. Ein Lötkolben kostet ganz wenig Geld und der Akku ist teuer.
