Even Einstein Had Imposter Syndrome | Brian Keating | TEDxSanDiego

Albert Einstein once said the attention he received made him feel like "an involuntary swindler," which, in modern terms, means he suffered from Imposter Syndrome, the sensation that you are illegitimate and undeserving of the status you have. If even Einstein suffered this disorder, is there hope for us "mortals" without his gifts and genius? The answer is 'yes,' and I present a strategy to overcome imposter syndrome in your life, unlock your full potential, and achieve the recognition you deserve. BrianKeating.com #TEDxSanDiego #TEDxSpeaker #TEDTalk #ImposterSyndrome #Einstein #Scientist Brian G. Keating is Chancellor’s Distinguished Professor of Physics at the University of California, San Diego. Keating's research area is the study of cosmic microwave background and its relationship to the origin and evolution of the universe. He is the Principal Investigator of the Simons Observatory and is the author of more than 200 scientific publications, two U.S. Patents, and the best-selling books Think Like a Nobel Prize Winner, and “Losing the Nobel Prize”, selected as one of Amazon Editors Best Nonfiction Books of All Time. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

You rose up to the challenge and hooked the audience. The standing ovation seemed to surprise you, was that a hint of the imposter syndrome in you? Nonetheless, your talk was on point and the ovation well deserved. Well done Brian!

How empowering (and inspiring) to know that the greatest minds that have ever lived are also flawed and imperfect humans. Well done Brian!

I feel that all the time when commenting on Dr. Brian Keating videos. Thanks for sharing how you feel, thought I was the only one.
I cannot believe that Einstein had an imposter syndrome... really??
Bravo !
Great 🙏
It can be debilitating.
Bravo and yasher koach!
So I might be the inventor of a Fusion reactor, which is Muon powered, or be the one who solves the riddle of Gravity, and why it works. I won't be that genius, but it's nice to dream.
Physics for that matter cosmology is not mathematics. You see what you want to see because you want to succeed. Einstein visited Great German Circus in 1904. He saw protective net spread mid-air for protection of Trapeze artists. So was Time Space born. Fact is Big Bang or no Big Bang Cosmos is auto dynamic. Motion is property of matter. Motion can't happen without centre of motion. Walking is progressive pendulum motion Your hand from plate to mouth moves along a curve. So linear motion is guess. But what Cosmologists have yet to tell us how Stars are fused. I played God & subjected a hydrogen gas field to thermodynamic catharsis. I fused the Sun & Solar System. Some day, if the world is lucky it may reach institutions for answering unanswered questions.

Looks like I'm googling about catharsis today!!!
