He held Lennox Lewis to a draw after this fight. Lewis was much bigger and considered by many to be one of the best heavyweights of the last 40 years, so I don’t think Holyfield was on a decline after this fight. I think that happened after his 2nd fight with Lewis who stopped him.

Moorer just wasn't the same guy who fault Holyfield. He just wasn't the same. I don't know if it was losing to Foreman or what. Holyfield got the best back, but Moorer was one step from being shot. He barely beat Foreman who ended up beating the man who beat him for the title, but there was always a bias in Holyfield's favor for whatever reason. Until he came back those last couple times, they were much more critical of the other champs of his era.

Yes Holyfield was a great warrior! As far as Michael Moore, the difference in this KO and the George Foreman KO is this KO was 100% real!! Moore took a dive in the Foreman fight. Anyone who knows boxing could easily see that. I like George Foreman as much as anyone but that was all about money. So obvious.

@@shpejtimavdyli5199 Friend I respect your opinion completely and acknowledge that I could be wrong. But I doubt anything could change my mind about this KO. I am convinced Moore took a dive. Not to mention Foreman was 40 what years old fighting a young buck. All the odds were stacked against Foreman and for Moore even though I was never impressed with Moore as a heavyweight. I made my mind up the second I saw the KO. No one convinced me of anything. I honestly was in disbelief when I saw it. Best I recall after the fight even the announcers questioned Moores ability to get up. In other words he should have. I have been deeply involved in amateur boxing since the age of 8 years old. I have fought in National Competition after winning 2 state championships and a regional championship. Just to make it to the nationals you are one of the top 16 fighters in The US in your weight classes. I was jr middle weight or 150 thru 156 pounds. I only bring that up to point out that I know a lot about boxing. I’m not a know it all by any means. The first thing I said to you was I could be wrong. But I can watch a fighter and almost tell you what he is thinking. After being in there and feeling exactly what they are feeling you pick up on things others don’t in many cases. But then there are people who have never been in there but yet their boxing intuition is incredibly accurate. Maybe that is your case, I don’t know. I’m just completely convinced Moore took a dive against Foreman. Great talking with you friend!!..

@@robjtko I never boxed, but I watched boxing in the 60s, 70s and 90s. First of all the invincible Foreman of the 70s had such blows that they could knock down a Frazier or Norton like a cup on the floor, simply was too strong! Foreman blows never left to be suspected was almost the same as the 70's as the 90's , only that in the 90's he was slower and had lower reflexes. remember foreman was 45 years old and his weight made me doubt this knock down too, but when I looked many times I saw the way of the two combinations and the inertia of the shot , I just obeyed . Moorer's head suffered several other preliminary blows, here was the difference. I fully respect your way of explaining, especially when you were an amateur boxer for a few years.

@@shpejtimavdyli5199 Actually almost 20 years my friend and thank you for your kind words. You have got me curious. I am going to go back and watch the fight and KO again. I agree Foremen was a bull in a china shop in his day. I honestly don’t know how Ali pulled that win off against him. You mentioned Foreman’s extra weight and slower reflexes. Excellent point. He was absolutely slower in every way however the extra weight made him even stronger. Slower but stronger. I don’t know if he still had the power he had when he was undefeated, probably not but still KO power no doubt.A good, current example of this is Andy Ruiz. He dropped a lot of weight right before he fought Chris Arreola. Chris should have been an easy warmup fight for Ruiz but instead the fight went 12 rounds and Ruiz got knocked down in I think it was the 2nd round. After talking to you I have to watch the fight again. Changing the subject a bit I called Tyson Fury to win a 12 round unanimous decision against Wilder. I was laughed at and mocked but I stuck to my guns and what I saw playing out in that fight. I also said Fury would win the first fight and believe he did. However I believe Wilder could be a good fighter if he would do his homework but he doesn’t. If he has really gotten ready for Wilder vs Fury 3 then it will be very interesting. But until I hear Wilder has worked his butt off for this trilogy I have to say Fury by unanimous decision again. What is your thoughts on that fight Buddy?? Again thank you for your kind words and I have enjoyed our conversation. I will get back to you as soon as I watch that KO again. Have a great 4th and we will talk soon!! GOD bless my friend!!.. :))…..

Hey Buddy. I went back and watched that KO over and over and over. It didn’t change my mind however it did show me just how easily I could be wrong. If you watch that fight again notice how Foreman is twisting his right foot every time he throws his right hand. When you twist your right foot into your right hand it automatically causes you to twist your right hip as well which puts all of your weight behind that punch. Actually its that way with every punch. If you twist your foot your hip has no choice but to follow thus pushing all your body weight behind or into your fist. I don’t think I saw Foreman throw a right hand when he failed to twist even once. Also he had just landed that exact punch on more in the nose which didn’t seem to phase Moore however the KO right hand was right on the chin. The perfect place. The 3 places that is more likely to KO your opponent if you land a good shot there is 1=the chin, 2=the temple and 3=the liver or right side just below the rib cage. You just might be right about that KO. Maybe I am the one that is wrong. Watch that fight or just the 10th round again and you will see Foreman twisting into every right hand. He does throw the perfect right hand without a doubt. And at 45 years old he was still slugging late in the 10th round. I am more impressed with him after listening to you and watching the fight again. Hope you have a great 4th of July my boxing friend!!..
