Watch out what you say to God, just saying cause he listens. Once I asked God why are we so poor. I guess it was God who said your not poor. Everything on Earth was created for my children. But, man has put a price on everything that's why your poor. I also asked why can't I be like the wicked who obtain so much wealth. Guess it was God who said you have the the mark of God within you. I tried to be prefect in the eyes of God and guess it was God who said you will never be prefect.

It is ironic, the guy who wrote that, Solomon, ended up chasing after foreign women and their foreign gods, enslaving his people in His building programs (just as the pharaohs did). His heart was right in the beginning, he got His eyes off of God's provision and forgot the Lord his God. It is written, remember the Lord your God for it is He who you the ability/power to get wealth that He may establish His covenant in the Earth.

That is what she teaches along with the importance of our words lining up with God's Word. What we were hearing there was an illustration. She also teaches we are to prosper in every area of our life, not only finances but spiritually and socially. God's prosperity is a theme from Genesis to Revelation where it talks about the dangers of relying on and misusing money as well. God does not want anything taking the place of Him. He is to be our source. The rich and the poor alike both can be covetous.

Most will not even read the words so long as they have someone else telling them what they want to hear. Truth is, they're afraid to read it for they might find out differently which will ruin their sense of false security. It's easier to fool someone than to convince them they've been fooled.

I watched her for a couple of years. Then I ran across a clip of a video where she was being interviewed. She was ask if she felt guilty that some of the money that she received might be from the elderly who really couldn't afford to give. Without any hesitation she replied why should I feel guilty? If they wanted to send it to me, why should I refuse? That struck me as cold and heartless. Just listening to the clip you played made me nauseated. If she chooses to live the good life on this Earth, that's on her. But to think she would knowingly take from the poor, that's rather low.

I've listened to many of her messages and she is a one trick pony. Always the same scriptures and how she was sexually abused by her father. I don't like the constant reference to money; buying shoes and teaching someone a life lesson, how Starbucks doesn't get her order correct so she had to learn patience, how she has to shop for many outfits because of all the tv episodes (can't wear the same item 2x), how the hotel spa lost her pants while she was getting a treatment done, the personal trainer she's had for 13 years and geting her nails done and going out for dinner. I hear subtle "in your face, look at me now" comments that are meant for past friends or family members that thought of her negatively at one time. She grew up in the charismatic age and knows the demographic that is the most vulnerable to her teachings and targets them with her messages and books (which she profits from). I find her videos too predictable, are often off point (she gets side tracked too easily) and I've even heard variations of the same story (pastor came to the house vs a dream she had that the pastor came to the house).

I remember Joyce being a guest in my parents’ home several times when I was a kid. I remember hearing her voice from the basement, where all us kids were playing; it was so shrill and bombastic, talking over everyone else. She was a stuck up, rude lady. My family knew her when she was just starting in ministry at Life Christian Center in St. Louis, Missouri. I’ll not forget those days. She, Rick Shelton and many others, were living really well, all the while telling struggling folks to give more so they, too, can live abundant lives.

Do they deny themselves, pickup their cross an die to self as they follow Jesus? Is Jesus really their LORD, the Master over them as slave? However, it truly applies to those giving to the rich to gain influence or favor. Many of the prosperity preachers are simply conning the overall masses of their flocks, so I’m not in agreement about this 1/2 verse unless it is backed up with more scripture, even though I know prosperity preaching is not pleasing in The Lords sight. Message version Micha 3:5-7 Here is God’s Message to the prophets, the preachers who lie to my people: “For as long as they’re well paid and well fed, the prophets preach, ‘Isn’t life wonderful! Peace to all!’ But if you don’t pay up and jump on their bandwagon, their ‘God bless you’ turns into ‘God damn you.’ Therefore, you’re going blind. You’ll see nothing. You’ll live in deep shadows and know nothing. The sun has set on the prophets. They’ve had their day; from now on it’s night. Visionaries will be confused, experts will be all mixed up. They’ll hide behind their reputations and make lame excuses to cover up their God-ignorance.”

I see in some versions of this quote the word “simply,” and I believe it clarifies both of your positions: we can’t look only for the black and white difference between clear right and clear wrong, because the Deceiver uses “almost” to instill doubt about what God says and what our appropriate response should be. “Almost” right is still wrong. An “almost” truth has the power to destroy.

Joyce Meyer agrees with the worst heretical teaching in 'Word of Faith': She says “You know, I was listening to a set of tapes by one man and he explained it like this, and I think this kind of gets the point across, he said, ‘Why do people have such a fit about God calling His creation, His man-not His whole creation, but His man-little gods? If He’s God, what’s He going to call them but the god-kind?’ I mean, if you as a human being have a baby, you call it a human kind. If cattle has another cattle, they call it cattle-kind. So, I mean, what’s God supposed to call us? Doesn’t the Bible say we’re created in his image? Now, you understand I am not saying you are God with a capital G.” (Joyce Meyer, Authority and Opposition, audio tape number 1236.) The God of the Bible teaches that ALL other gods are false gods. One can only guess which Word of Faith (Prosperity Gospel) teacher Meyer was listening to! Was it Copeland, Hagin, Dollar, Duplantis etc etc? They all teach this HERESY. kzread.info/dash/bejne/hnqbuLannLOTYKQ.html .

When sound doctrine is being taught by the power of the spirit is has the most humbling effect on the hearers . It exhalts God the father and the Lord Jesus and should bring man low by the illumination of there increased understanding of God being revealed by a Holy spirit led Teacher. Many preachers today esp on TV who are preaching messages which apeal to the fleshly mind and its desires . If you want to pack a church today it seems you just have to preach health wealth and prosperity . Things that people who have no profession desire . Test all things by the written word and prayer as we have the biblical characters and apostles lives as examples .

I've never understood why people equate being rich/or wealthy with happiness? We live in a material culture that tells us we have to have material wealth to be happy. I'm not saying that it's wrong to have nice things, or to be blessed with an abundance, but happiness does not come from wealth or prosperity. Nor should we feel like we're unblessed if God only supplies us with our basic needs. If we have a roof over our heads, food in our stomach, and clothes on our back, we should be thankful and content with our blessings. Many people in the world lack even the basic necessities for survival. I've never been someone who feels like I need the fanciest house, or the fanciest car to be happy in life. Many people go into the military because they feel God has called them to sacrifice their lives to protect other people. These soldiers go through difficult military training, and many other discomforts and inconveniences. Some of them go through pure living hell, loose their life, or their limbs. Are they any less blessed than you and I because they sacrificed their lives, dreams, and personal ambitions, to protect other people? No I would say they are more blessed than other people. They are heroes, and Saints.

I find it impossible to believe any biblical teacher who states that she herself is NOT a sinner. That is heresy, utterly opposed to the scriptures. On her audio tape "From the Cross to the Throne", Joyce Meyer states adamantly that she is NOT a sinner: "All I was ever taught to say was I a poor miserable sinner. I am NOT poor, I am NOT miserable, and I am NOT a sinner -- that is a lie from the pit of hell, that is what I were and if I still was, then Jesus died in vain. I'm gonna tell you something, folks: I didn't stop sinning until I finally got it through my thick head I wasn't a sinner anymore.". Compare that with the bible: 1 John 1:8 says "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.". Romans 3:23 says "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.".

She is saying that she doesn't view her Savior as someone who needs to keep going back to the cross every time she makes a mistake. She is 100% correct is this. Before I was saved, I was poor, wretched sinner. I am redeemed by my savior's blood and resurrection. I am no longer that poor wretched sinner. I am a new creation in Christ. Do I still sin? of course I do, but the price has been paid and once was all that was needed. Colossians 3:12-17, 1 Peter 2:9

@@Suswaleh I just have a couple of questions for you. Do you still sin? Do you not still have the sin nature within you? Are you not still going through the sanctification process? When does the sanctification process end? Finally, what do you call a person who sins? You call them a sinner. When God looks at a Christian, He sees the blood of Jesus covering the person. He or she is justified by the blood. He or she will still sin. The biggest concern is, do they still have a conscience? If they do, they will learn to hate that sin and continue to struggle until they overcome. This is what makes the Christian life so hard. Remember what the apostle Paul said? He said, "Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. For I delight in the law of God after the inward man. But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin." Romans 7:20-25 I hope this encourages you! 😇🙏

It is sad that the "equality" and "fairness" mentality has over taken the church as well. When a Christian exposes ERROR and false doctrine, they are branded by the followers of false teachers as haters and judges. We are commanded to watch for "another gospel" and any teaching that deviates from what Jesus or the Apostles taught. Many of the WOF "prophets" can go on for hours without ever once quoting a Scripture in context. They are great story tellers and easy to listen to, but WHAT they are teaching is not sound Bible doctrine. WOF did not exist in Jesus' day, nor did the disciples teach such. And you can not find any where in the Bible showing that all believers were HEALTHY and WEALTHY! If it were meant to be for ALL believers, then Paul, writer of most of our New Testament would have had it. He, however, had an ailment or "thorn in the flesh" that he was never relieved of. Obviously, Word of Faith was not taught or believed by him!

Christ commanded us to be disciples, not those who go to church on Sundays, but Christ himself said those who want to be my disciples must first count the cost. For Jesus himself said those who love him will obey him, those who do not love him will not obey him. Dear friend does the prosperity gospel line up with the gospel which Jesus preached to the contrary this what our flesh lust after. If we are to be his disciples our love for him must be greater than the love we have for our own life, our own spouse, children and parents. We must deny our self ie subdue ( carnal nature ) and carry our cross (to do Gods will ) daily. Jesus meant when he said whoever drinks the water I give will never thirst (pls read John 4:4-26 and John 7:37-39). if you filled with holy spirit no adversities, trial and tribulation will quench the joy of the holy spirit. Just like how a river overflows, other believers can also feel the joy presence of the holy ghost. we are not saved by our good works unlike other religions but saved for good works i.e. to Gods will or producing good fruits that can only be possible if we abide in Christ. This what Paul when he that our outer man/carnality perishes and our inner man i.e. new being in Christ grows daily.2 Corinthians 4: 16 pls see Is christ teaching a yoke? For christ himself said my yoke is easy and my burden is light, for christ promised the other helper the holy spirit to those who love him and obey him, he will be the supernatural helper who God will send to help us overcome the flesh and the world. If we are lead by the spirit we will walk in the narrow path, that christ himself said very few will find, our inner man will grow daily and we will be doing Gods will, and this is what Jesus meant , that th9se who drink the water I give will never this again (may never desire anything else )as the holy spirit fills them and they will overflow with joy and peace christ is gift from God to those who do his will. Pls not one cannot abide in christ and the property gospel at the same time

My mother gave her heart to the Lord a few years ago because of Joyce Meyers bible teaching. My mother was a hard core bitter liberal old woman...then while we were taking care of her as her hospice care...she asked me to come into her room and shared with me that she believed in Jesus Christ as her Savior and she prayed the sinners prayer to be named one of Gods children because of the Word being shared by Joyce Meyer. John McCarther admitted years ago...we all are going to be surprise how wrong a lot of us were in our doctrine. To me...Joyce Meyer is teaching Malachi 3...on general tithing or giving.

McArthur has committed the unpardonable sin over and over. Whatever he says, must be discounted. Definitely! People come to the LORD through non-Christian words and events that have nothing to do with preaching or church. That does not justify those things as being from God. God even used Pharoh for His glory, but that did not justify Pharoh in God's eyes. Pharoh was NOT cooperating with the true and Living God and neither is Meyers or she would obey God's own testimony that says SHE MUST NOT TEACH MEN!

Hahaha. Your mom then went on to give all of your inheritance to Joyce Meyer so Joyce Meyer could build another heated swimming pool for her and her children who don't work as hard as you do. It's her money though. Personally, when I give money to charity, I check to see where that charity spends its money. If less than 80% of the donations go to help the poor, I don't give to the charity. In Joyce Meyer ministries, she takes most of the money. Why would God want you to give money to a church that primarily only helps one person who's already rich? That's being a poor steward of your money, isn't it?

The glory does not belong to Joyce Meyer that God used her words to move your mother's heart to accept Jesus Christ. God used the unnatural speech of a donkey to stave off the prophet's madness. That did not make the donkey either a teacher or any kind of position of office in the Kingdom of God. It made ONLY those few words at that instant that God put into his mouth a temporary and direct instrument. Everything else from that donkey was foolish hee-hawing and meaningless - like Joyce Meyers. The glory is the Holy Spirit's. In this case, Joyce Meyer was teaching to a woman and that was appropriate. However, it is not just saying the sinner's prayer that saves us. John MacArthur, that snake, may have said something witty and diplomatically agreeable by all, but he is way off base in his teachings about salvation and the Holy Spirit. Your best chance at actually receiving salvation when you pass from this corruptible body is to read the Scriptures, ignore the American teachers calling themselves "Christian", and do what Jesus our Lord and the Apostles said to do.

But I listen to other preachers like Paul Washer for messages on the Cross. I can't continually listen to a preacher who is stuck at the cross and how to obtain salvation. You learn that, by alll means and get it down good, then you learn how to work out your salvation and how to live by The Word in your daily llife

It's FULLY in line with the new age; the main thing about the new age is that you're your own god and you can do anything God can do. All of these false teachers are doing nothing but spewing new age teachings onto their audience. We all need to pray for everyone following these people because they're taking everyone down the path of hell.

I don't think there is anything inherently wrong with speaking positively. But I don't think your checkbook hears you when you speak to it. If you're a salesman, and you're attitude is positive, more than likely you'll get positive results. I believe if you tithe and give offerings from a sincere heart, God will bless you because He has found a vessel through which He can bless others. It's a part of His kingdom. But speaking money into bank accounts and checkbooks isn't God's prosperity model.

I think the Bible already explains this people who are not born of the spirit ( born again) have only the power of the flesh working in them, those who are born of the spirit have the power of God which is the Holy Spirit and a New man or inner man which is a new being created in us when we are born again. As we have also inherited original sin from, Adam, we also inherited our flesh or carnal nature which is the fifth column in very Christian (an enemy within ) This is why Paul warned the Galatians about " beginning in spirit ending in the flesh " . Galatians 3:3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh? If you end in the flesh you are not abiding in the true wine which is Christ and in day of judgement he will separate those who abide in the true wine and bore fruits from those who did not bear fruits once saved all aways saved is myth if we end in the flesh we cannot enter the kingdom of heaven John 15 1-4 “I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more. You have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you. Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me." For we are warned that in the last days there will be many who will fall from the true faith by seduced by deceiving spirits. The where seduced by deceiving spirits because they never chastised their flesh which will always be the fifth column till the day our Lord returns. If we do not follow the guidance of the holy spirit in every aspect of our life, then we will end in flesh holy spirit was given to us not Only to lead us in prayer or to speak in tongues but also to guide us in every aspect of life and we need the power of God to overcome the flesh, the world and Satan . If we are not lead by the spirit then our flesh will take over. For Jesus spoke of people are neither warm or cold this refers to Christians who have the power of flesh working in them and never allowed the spirit to chastise their flesh Rev 13:6 KJV "So then because of thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth." Pls read Matthew 25:14-30 The Parable of the Talents John 15 full chapter Abiding in the Vine which is christ we are expected to follow a narrow path and obey God's commandments ie love your lord your God with all your heart and soul and to love your neighbours including your enemies as your self it is hard to follow this as our flesh would be the greatest hindrance to this commandment as our flesh wants to be glorified itself rather than glorify God . It impossible for man to do this on his own will as by nature we are sinful and it would lead to self-righteousness and pride can only achieve this with the supernatural power of God and through power the holy spirit our guide and helper. hence we must take great care in overcoming our flesh and world for God promised the kingdom of God and eternal life for those who overcome till the very end. The proof that we are following the narrow path to life is our character we are supposed to bear good fruit ie love, patience, understanding, good judgment, wisdom , hate for sin and injustice , patiently preaching the word to those who are mislead by satan with love and concern , praying for your enemies and those who wrong you and for giving them , repenting from your sins , etc

So how is what Joyce Meyer said supposedly heresy? Didn't Jesus say that if you had faith as a mustard seed that you could speak to the mountain and it would be thrown into the sea? Didn't he also say that if his words abide in you and you abide in him, that you could ask what you will and it shall be done for you? Doesn't proverbs say that if you cast your bread upon the waters that it will return to you after many days? Does God want us to be poor, is there any blessing or joy in poverty? If we invest in his kingdom and exercise our talents, will they not come back to us? This man is making excuses in this case because he perhaps does not have faith to cast his bread upon the waters. Sounds good doesn't it? The little boy invested his lunch (fishes and loaves) and Jesus multiplied it, didn't he? In Joyce Meyers' case, she provides real world testimony of cases when she gave into God's kingdom and it was paid back to her. Do you believe her? Has this radio host tried what she has suggested, even once? A person can take the Word and choose any preconceived notion that they want, but it is not necessarily faithful. What did Jesus believe? He said that we could do what he did, so long as we abide in Him and exercise faith, and speaking, faith and giving are all a part of the blessings available to us. God spoke the universe into existence, we are made in his image and redemption through faith makes is available to us, and faith (within his will) must be exercised in order to grow and be effective.

You can have it all like she does but you have to make a covenant with the Devil. I have 11 children from one marriage I’m now 76 The Lord has been good to me always. I have seen Gods hand in my life so often but most when I went through a deep valley. I had no income whatsoever for 2 years with 11 small children. However every day we had everything we needed. My Lord took care of all my needs everyday. It was the best time of my life. I have seen so many miracles happen before my own eyes. After 2 year we had income again. My wife said: “one thing of all we sold I miss, that is the antique clock.” The clock had a special sentimental value for us. I said: “let me see if I can buy one the same.” Yah she said: “but it will never be the same.” I went to the store but there was no Clock even not one that looked like it. So I asked the owner if he still knew me. Yes he said. So I asked if he ever get a clock the same as I sold him. To my surprise he answered: “It is at my house, My wife took it home.” I did get it back for the same money as I got for it. The Lord knew that my wife would miss it and kept it for us. It is only by the Holy Spirit that we can understand that God the Creator of all things Sent His Only Begotten Son for us to Die at the cross for our sins; and come to know the forgiveness of sins for all those who put their faith and trust in Him. I feel so sad for people who Mock with God and the Lord Jesus.

Having five or more children was also associated with a 30 per cent increased risk of heart disease - the major cause of heart attacks - as well as a 25 per cent increased risk of stroke and a 17 per cent increase in the risk of heart failure compared with one or two children."

Way to take her message out of context! If you listened to her on a regular basis you would know that she battled cancer and a brother's suicide. I am a changed person thanks to the Holy Spirit using her messages to bless me! We are tithing and now have more than enough so that for the first time in our lives we can financially bless others. She admits she's not where she wants to be but is so thankful to her Father, she's not where she used to be. She had a horrible start in life but through the grace of God she is pressing on. I've never failed to be blessed by a single message of hers in its entirety!

How can you take any Scripture out of context, twist it, lie about it & make it right regardless Roxanne. Show me anywhere we're told to give the Lord 10% tithes in the new covenant. Show me or just keep giving. Maybe she'll buy her a new jet with it. Christians, learn the word for yourselves. Stop taking man's word for everything.

Tammy Henson All donations go to her ministry. This can be seen as they give an account of their budget info to partners annually. The profits from her books pay for the rest. If under the law we were commanded to give 10%,what do you think we should be giving under grace? You can't out give God. Try it. The New Testament doesn't nullify the Old. Since we've been giving God at the very least 10%, we have been blessed 100 fold. Have you even listened to any of her programs or read a book she's written? God commands us in the New testament (1John 4:1) to "Not put faith in every spirit, but test the spirits to discover whether they proceed from God; for many false prophets have gone forth into the word." How? Keep reading the next verse. "By this you may know the Spirit of God; every spirit which confesses that Jesus Christ has become man, and has come in the flesh is of God." Joyce confesses this in every book and show. Furthermore in 1 John 4:6, God in His Word says, "We are children of God. Whoever is learning to know God listens to us; and he who is not of God does not listen to us. By this we know the spirit of Truth and the spirit of error."

Out of context? "Speaking" prosperity into existence is not Biblical in ANY context.

Gage Kinard God spoke the world in to existence and we are made in His image. Words are powerful. God's word is powerful. God's word spoken by us is powerful. This ruckus is ridiculous. Most people who are dissing Joyce have not really heard her enough to be her judge.

AGAIN, speaking PROSPERITY into existence is not in ANY context Biblical. I didn't say a think about God speaking the world into existence. For one thing, we are NOT God (and I've heard a clip somewhere where Meyer describes us a "little gods." Maybe you haven't seem enough of her stuff.) and we have no authority over stuff like that. Two, prosperity is NOT God's word. And three, if you hear Meyer speak, and you actually READ the Bible, you don't need to hear more of her stuff after the first false teaching. Also, if you actually read your Bible, you would already know that women are not even supposed to be preachers. Get into the Bible, not Joyce Meyer's garbage.

I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence. - 1st Timothy 2:12 It doesn't get any clearer than that.

She stole the thing about talking to your wallet from Marilyn Hickey who said this years ago, being a blab-it-grab-it name-it claim-it. no original thought here! It's like putting your wallet under your pillow and during your sleep unconsciously drawing it to yourself. wish boards on the refrigerator, etc..

Joyce Meyer abandoned Jesus army, and she has enrolled(maybe not even realizing) in Satan's army, deceiving herself and unfortunately deceiving her listeners. May God open your eyes, Joyce, untill is not too late for you.
