Church history it is not history. Like you..many questions not answered. I believe what we have been told it is nothing but a nice way to be controlled. Everything going on in this Country right now must surely be like what Lott was experiencing in his time. At some point, Yahweh's justice and judgment will come down on this Nation. It has already begun as we see people being given over to a depraved mind and the self-destruction of our Society, all while people gleefully and proudly dance about, seemingly oblivious to the destruction that is coming.
This is a good and balanced analysis on this topic; far better than most I have heard. Context is key in this case. If ever I hear Pastor Begg condone, embrace, affirm, or endorse LGBTQ#&+ behavior and practices I will disassociate myself from his Ministry. I think it is wrong for Christians to so quickly and eagerly attack Pastor Begg over a single incident and statement when the man has been a loyal deliverer of the Gospel Message and a faithful expositor of Biblical hermeneutics for nearly 50 years. Equally troubling is the willingness for so many Christians to use this secularly controlled platform called KZread to deliver their invectives---it's like going to satan to complain about something a Brother or Sister did to you. Pastor Begg confirmed with the Grandmother that her Grandson IS fully aware of HER position as a true Born Again believer and HER opposition to HIS ungodly behavior; therefore, her attendance at such an event does NOT condone the event. If anything, her very presence at the event might evoke shame. In fact, her presence could be an opportunity to deliver the Gospel.

From the inspiring ideas that led to the Tower of Babel and down through history, there’s a complete record of evidence of men trying to unite their known world and doing everything they can to defy God. I don’t doubt that there are currently and will be others coming along who have lofty ideas about how they can do a better job if they’re in control, but God has the final say. The admonishments of the apostles about morality being turned upside down in the last days may be signs of the end, but the Roman Empire of the first century was just as bad - might have been even worse if they’d had social media.

This is quite a late address for this topic. People were attacking Mr. Begg months ago over this issue. Here is my view: I've been very sickened and disappointed by the unthoughtful, reactionary response by "some Christians" and the eagerness by them to so quickly attack Pastor Begg over this issue. Just about everyone was jumping on the bandwagon. I've since unsubscribed to their channels because I think their attacks on Pastor Begg are grossly unfair and are piously reactionary rather than based on a thoughtful examination of what Pastor Begg actually said. Remember, Pastor Begg was addressing a specific family issue. He was NOT telling all Christians everywhere to go to gay weddings. Pastor Begg is NOT condoning, affirming, or endorsing LGBTQ#&+. He seeks to keep the door of opportunity open with the hope of eventually reaching these people. One certainly cannot reach these people if you shut them out and become hostile to them. I have a gay friend, and I have been trying to reach him. It is a very difficult task, but as we get to know each other better, a trust develops. He is not threatened by me. He knows I mean him no harm. One day, I am hopeful he will be fully receptive to the Gospel. I think he is starting to become receptive. This has been a very slow process. None of this would be possible if I treated him with hostility and shunned him. Being a friend to him DOES NOT mean I condone his behavior. I often remind myself of how wretched a sinner I am. I certainly DO NOT deserve God's forgiveness for the awful things I have done in my past and even after I was Born Again. Christians must not forget that we are SINNERS.

Scripture never talks about a single world ending antichrist. It's a myth. Children, it is the last hour, and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come. Therefore we know that it is the last hour. By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already. For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not confess the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh. Such a one is the deceiver and the antichrist.

John says there are Many Antichrists, but he Specifically Warns about THE Antichrist that will come with Great Pomp and Persecution. The Word ANTI also means : " In Place of " in Greek. The Title for the Popes is : Vicar of Christ which is Synonymous with Antichrist. So just like All the Reformers did I Believe the Papal Seat to be the Seat of Antichrist. The Vatican is Uniting the Religions under Papal Authority as we Speak, and the Papal Political Power is Also Very Great Still. Can YOU Name a Power that has been More Antichrist and Blasphemous in its Claims and History...?

I can't add much to what Hank has said. I can say for me it was strengthening my prayer life. Regular prayers in the morning and evening, through out the day, and especially at meals. In order to avoid being legalist (which I define as the prohibitions against sin) it is better to work on the virtues (doing those things we aught to do). Not doing those things we should do is where we are most likely to fail in our spiritual life. Be humbly (which is one of the greatest virtue). This will keep us from being judgmental when we look at our own sins first. Humility reminds us to put others first (One way of doing this is when I get in a line and someone else wants to get in the same line, I try to always let them go before me. - It's a small thing but it becomes a good habit in other things as well.)

There is not a single verse telling us there is a pretribulation rapture, i.e., the idea that God is going to remove the Church from the Earth before the start of a future seven-year Great Tribulation that ends with Jesus' Second Coming and the start of the Millennium. It is more intelligible to conclude Revelation was written prior to AD 70 given the mention of the still standing temple and the 6 kings. And that there will not be a coming anti-Christ, but rather Antiochus Epiphanies was the anti-Christ? Correct me if I’m wrong for making that assumption but that’s what I thought I heard you say. If so, are you saying there’s no literal 7 year tribulation period as prophesied in Daniel 9?
