I recently travelled on EVA AIR from JFK to Taipei and I must say I trulyyyy enjoyed the service on this flight!! The Air hostesses were superb. They managed all passengers from start to end wih their politeness and experience. The food was delicious!! The pilots I must thank for flying us safely to our destination because this was no short flight. Big up to EVA AIR Top notch service 😊🤗👏

Great review thank you the comparison is just what i needed after a very uncomfortable outward journey (lhr bkk) in economy.I am looking to hopefully upgrade on my return trip so this review is a great help. My latest trip was extremely unpleasant the narrow seats 17 inches are bearable until the person in front decides to recline his seat all the way. I hadn.t previously experienced this on my other flights(lhr bkk lhr) and do not wish a repeat. Keep up the good work

We've never tried anything else besides economy class. Sweet, the toilet has some deco and amenities! Wow they even have a menu! The food actually looks pretty good. Probably I should try EVA air the next time. Thanks for sharing guys!

I just completed a return LHR - BKK Eva Air flight in a 777 in Economy - the seats are the best economy seats I have experienced in 30 years of travel - enough space for a 185cm person like me - and the in flight service is exemplary - highest praise for Eva

I was upgraded to a Premium Ecom on my trip from Jakarta to Japan a while ago. While I appreciated the seat pitch (i think I even had a few more inches after I stretched my arm)...but I vaguely remember whether the seat could recline that much more than the Econ class or not...what was your experience? Could you recline far enough to at least have a decent 'resting' posture vs seating almost straight? Thanks for your answer in advance!

It's nice they provide slippers for premium economy. They are very helpful for lavatory breaks. It's such a hassle putting on and taking off shoes after going to the lavatory. Have a great flight.

I flew in EVA Air's premium economy class many times. It's a great product with nice seating, food and service. The only negative side is their seats is up to discretion of passenger in front of you. If the passenger reclines all the way back, it can be an unpleasant experience unless you ask them to move up their seat a bit. In recent years I've flown on China Airlines premium economy class and their seats have a "hard shell" design where the seat recline will not affect passenger directly behind. But some passengers don't like the hard shell design finding it uncomfortable. So it's entirely up to you which airline you prefer. I find China Airlines also offers a competitive product compared to EVA Air and their fares are cheaper.

Wait is the the updated cabin, last time I flew eva air what back in 2018 with the 3-3-3 seating cofig from JFK-TPE in a 777-300ER

I have flown on the London/Bangkok route with EVA on four round trips, two in economy, and two in Premium. The service and attention from the crew has been excellent on each occasion. My October 2019 premium economy experience was significantly better than that on my earlier trip (2016) - sitting in 23A, and an empty seat beside me. I had the same amenity kit on the LHR-Bkk leg, but a rather nice grey & yellow Furla kit on the return. I have no idea what is inside, as it is still sealed (as are the 2 I acquired from neighbouring seat pockets after the passengers didn't take them). I hope to be able to test the Business Class offering on my next trip :)

Great to hear you had a great flight with Eva. We had a great experience too. Despite flying in a full flight, it was actually quite enjoyable. Did you fly on Boeing 777? Or a different plane? We were lucky to be able to fly on their new 777 which was less than 2 years old so it was quite comfortable.

@@adventureswithbl2497 2019 was on the 777. In 2017 I flew on Thai's A350, and 2018 was the Qatar A350 (flying into Chiang Mai). For me, I think the A350 just takes the honours for quietness and the air condition. For info - I've also flown the route on Emirates and Royal Jordanian.

Eva is one of the best... I always use them.. be it economy, premium economy (no more btw from Vancouver, BC, Canada as they use 787) or business class when going back to Taiwan

Is it better to buy premium or economy then upgrade to premium?

I didn't see enough about the seats and what the comfortable is for s tall person 🤔

I wish reviewers would tell us their height and weight so we can get a better sense of how we would fit in these seats. If you said it and I missed it I apologize. I skip through the boarding etc. I have seen that many times.

I love eva air thinking of going again this year, but 12 hours late had to stay over night on hotel. 12 hours delay

It was comfortable. Did not feel crowded despite a full flight. I am not too tall, so leg room is just nice for me and the seat does recline a bit, as the usual for economy class.

That was horrible! Were you not able to get any sort of compensation from them or travel insurance? I heard many were redirected on other flights during the strike that happened in July. We were worried when we were flying this too.
