EVA Air is pretty smart too, fleet using Airbus instead of Boeing .. awesome!

I have taken the EVA Premium Economy option a few times between the UK and Bangkok - always comfortable and relaxing. Unfortunately this year the fare seems to have almost trebled form my last trip, so placing it almost at the level Business Class was 3 years ago.

@@celinesohier6210 - You either pay for a Premium Economy fare or not. If you do, you get a seat. There is no 'bet'.

Great review, Alvin. I love Singapore airport and also find myself asking when I’ll be back. 😊 Nice to see the quick train ride through the Jewel. It looks like EVA’s PE product is pretty solid, especially for a shorter flight. The service seemed to be very good too. Looking forward to more trip reports!

Singaporians should rightly feel proud of their airport. It is a thing of beauty and wonder. I wish our airport were even 1/4 as nice. I've never flown EVA but your trip report shows it as a very good experience and for the short segment you flew, I think Premium Economy fit perfectly. Your stir fried prawn noodles didn't look good as delivered but after mixing with the chili sauce, that looked very tasty. Thanks for the EVA video. LIKE - 👍

I would go for the upgrade. Because I am a Taiwanese, and also the impeccable record of non-crashing Eva Air has. Also, as far as service goes, Taiwanese service industry as a whole is so friendly and seem genuinely nice, I find it so unusual for an Asian country. I would upgrade it, always.

I’ve flown EVA, Cathay Pacific, China Airlines and Japan Airlines. I’ve been impressed with the service on all these airlines. Far better than North American Airlines

Singapore is never mentioned as a controlled state. Eva Air PE is ok, I use it for Bangkok to London route, it's not cheap, food and service is average, However as is a direct route that's why I use it.

are the check-in, boarding and baggage delivery priority for premium economy passengers? also is that red wine? do they serve alcoholic drinks for free?

I’m a Canadian born in Taiwan, EVA premium economy is the only seat I book for hometown visits.

Lovely music as you enter the Jewel.

If you visit Singapore, please make sure you stay at Marina Bay Sands. Even if for 1 or 2 nights it worth 100%. Go up to the swimming pool and their observation deck during the day and the night, its unbelievable experience. All the best 😊

Definitely I love the premium economy of EVA. Everything was so good. I can sleep for 6 hours on my flight from Hong Kong toVancouver.

Great review! But no amenity kits? Then again it’s only a short flight. Depends on the price might not be worth it. I know if I’m flying from BOS to HKG with CX I would definitely be booking PE class.

Hi Jennifer, actually from my experience you board a bit later (at least in Taipei), as they let in some rows of economy before calling for premium economy. So I guess technically not “priority boarding” 😅
