Caicedo with a goal of the season contender. I could watch that goal 115 million times. Overall amazing how we were languishing in 12th to finish 6th. Its a reminder to trust the process and just play your game. Everything will eventually click and results will eventually go your way.

ngl we could've finished in top 4 if we didn't draw to Burnley and Sheffield. And Sterling didn't cause us that win against Wolves. All in all we had a good decent season considering we went to Wembley twice and lost to teams that were 1st and 2nd in the league by only 1 goal in both games.

that last ditch tackle by Gallagher perfectly encapsulates everything he brings to this team! Deserves a huge contract from Chelsea.

The man has several match saving moments that people choose to ignore especially if he is in the 8 or 10 role. Moments that an average player on his age is guaranteed to get wrong. Then they is his wing play where he has the surprising take-ons and good crosses. We have a versatile midfield player that we are ignoring because his football is not beautiful and he is not a risk taker. We will learn the hard way

@@demongs7481 Gallagher is a very good player, but if he was with Bournemouth would people be demanding to sign him? Fans need to support the team, not just academy players. The way FFP works is that selling Gallagher for 50m is the equivalent of spending 250m on other players. I like Gallagher, but he's not worth Palmer + Caicedo + Nkunku + Jackson + Gusto.

At the end of the day we’ve been through ups and downs but at the start of the season I said 6 place or higher is a successful season

Wouldn’t a fair analysis of more attacks down the left hand side is because Poch is asking Cucu to go into midfield more and when the ball is turned over he has to run back to LB position and try and stop the opponent Rb and RW because our lw is not really effective defensively?

Match like Bunrly , shifled united , Everton first game , Aston Villa second game , man united first game .. we should be on Top 4 .. at least we shall on 4th Place.

Impressive season. With all our injuries, inexperience players and massive overhaul, how we got into 6th is beyond me. Lot of credit to staff and players. Like pochettino said, hopefully next season, we won’t be talking about injuries and inexperience again. Up to the sporting directors to get things right. Need the right foundation set for next season.

Cucurella is young and hasn’t had enough time to settle, he wins too many duels to not be backed defensively

Thanks Nini for being my number one Chelsea Content Creator. Congratulations to all of us. We were able to shame all those who predicted we won't go beyond the 10th position. Caicedo really is coming through and has shown us flashes of what he's capable of in these last set of matches. Gallagher has been so good for us, but maybe now is the time to start thinking of life beyond him. With the likes of Enzo, Lavia, Caicedo, Casadei etc in the team, we're indeed covered. I wonder if he would have been able to make such an impact if injuries had not so decimated the team! One player I will loath us selling really is Chalobah. Without Silva around, Trevor is definitely a must keep ahead of the Badiashiles and Disasis of this world!

Good to hear your even criticism of Cucu. That being said, I think our best hope, of course, is to have a FULLY fit Chilly to be able to rotate the two and not over-rely on either. Because Davies seems to be one of the few outstanding left backs in the world right now and is touted to be Real-bound. IF the club could somehow hijack that transfer, that’d be rad, but barring that, I’d hate to see them splash similar money on someone who’s not definitely world class

I agree every point about Cucu. But he does so much good for the team. Aside from his inverting DM roll, he has an enthusiasm, energy and warrior like mentality on the pitch which I see other players really pick up on, and also gives them a sense of confidence. His play out of the back is also high level. His ability to play three to four positions is also an asset. Perfect example was last game against Nottingham Mudryk was asked to play left 10 after about 15 minutes as they had us locked down from playing the ball out. Gallagher and Cucu were assigned to alternate between 6 and wing. That changed everything. Kudos to Gallagher and coaching team for that too. At the moment, I see his weakness is a necessity to his strength. I hope his decision making does get better on the 1 v 1’s, more over I hope he learns to calm himself when in those positions.

best way to start the day. A match review with niinii after a win

Palmer was poor today. He's allowed that, though, for today.

Gallagher, a few key moments I also should mention in todays game 1. Caicedo’s goal was amazing, it was Gallagher who got something on the keepers clearance with running full pace recognising Chelsea was on the front foot. 2. Gallagher’s goal saving tackle. Gallagher was the furthest player away from his own goal line taking the corner. To have the awareness, want and love for the club was special. 3. The thing no one really talks about, Gallagher continues to take up positive positions in the attacking third with over laps, burst in to the box (sometimes only to make space for others), pressing in high positions putting him in terrible defensive counter attack positions. Sure Cucu and Caicedo helps with the ability for him to do that. But he also backs himself and takes full responsibility to get back in and make the defensive mid or low block. Never stands and gets frustrated with other players or himself. Anyone who has played the game knows that is special. 4. You touched on the distance that he covers, which I agree with. But it is his quality that he covers that distance with. It can be a long bursting defensive play where he puts in a high quality, strong tackle. Or a lung bursting offensive run but still has the quality to really look after the ball. Some players run for the statistics but he clearly does it for purpose and the love of the club, for being a true fan of the club. He is so important for this club, and an absolute pleasure to watch for people who notice details and understand the purpose of a player. A player who makes your favourite player look even better.

A little silly, I’m sure like myself other fans can still enjoy watching a player that is from academy whom is playing extremely well in this moment. Gallagher may be sold and I’d be upset with the decision as he is to me one of our best and most consistent players. Being from the academy naturally us fans like to see him succeed and grow as a player. The fans aren’t in control. We only like to think we are until decisions are made and then we pretend we never really thought they were that good anyway. Best example would be Mount.
