Euro NCAP performs a series of safety tests focusing on the crash avoidance technologies of light commercial vehicles.
Active safety is tested based on the van’s equipment: Autonomous Emergency Braking Systems (Car-to-Car, Pedestrian, and Cyclist scenarios), lane support and speed assist technologies, and Occupant Status Monitoring (Attention Assist and Seatbelt Reminders).
Tested here is the Renault Kangoo Van - Blue dCi 95, LHD.
The Kangoo is available as a small people-carrying MPV and, as tested here, a small cargo panel van. The panel van shares a lot of safety equipment with the passenger version, and this helps it achieve Euro NCAP's second-highest van rating. However, not all European countries get the safety equipment as standard so be sure to check the availability where you live and include options if you want to.
