I'm rooting for Turkey and Switzerland to do a big upset cause they're much better than the Netherlands and England. But sometimes, prediction doesn't came true. Ive seen Turkey struggle more than 1 game this tournament, so i dont see why they should be "much better" at all. Side note: i prefer a repeat of 1988 semi final result. Also held in Germany, a EC and Netherlands come out on top.

Even though the Netherlands trashed Spain 5-1 in the 2014, I think if this happened, Spain will repeat the 2010 results by winning EC. However, I'm still rooting for Germany as a hosts to win the entire thing.

Holland 2 - 4 Türkiye

The 4 - 2 loss against Turkey was Frank De Boer with 5 at the back. The 6 - 1 win was Van Gaal in a 4 3 3. That's the discrepancy lol. Either way it will be an entertaining match. The whole tournament we have had the individual quality at the back but lacked organisation, in attack we had good organisation but lacked individual quality. Both seem to be getting solved slowly. Most importantly our effort levels have been fixed after the Austria wake up call.

Even though Swindlerland has impressed more, I think they'll lose. Defensively only Akanji is a baller. Schär has been sloppy and is often late to the action, Rodriguez has made some dirty fouls. I wouldn't trust these two to hold back England's quality attack. If Southgate finally uses that quality ofcourse...

The only team that didn't park the bus and tried to actually play the game against Portugal, lost 3-0. That says a lot. Funny enough, I think Portugal will have an easier time with France than most of the teams they faced.

Turkiye became a team along the way. After the Georgia game, everybody thought we could not do defense. After the Austria game, we saw that actually, we can do pretty well. So, I'm sure Montella has a plan. We completed our mission already. Any better game against the Duch going to be a cherry on top.

I hope Switzerland, Spain, France and Netherlands will go through to the semis. Spain and Netherlands should then make it to the finals and the way Spain played so far, I consider them the strongest favorite for the win. England just didn't play well and for the sake of the Euro-party I hope the Netherlands stay in the competition and send Turkey home, who's fans just showed their kind of respect by throwing cups at players and causing troubles with other fan base during group stage.

Even in Spain don't win this coming match against Germany (after all, they play at home and the referees and the VAR will surely help them), they have without a doubt played the best football in this EC bar none.

Austria was just not effective enough in front of the goal and a bit unlucky at times, i.e. with the last header that was saved insanely by the goalkeeper but also in their first attack when the ref didn't check the hit Baumgartner had to take from the Turkish player. Turkey was just the more efficient team today scoring two goals of basically 2 standards. That doesn't make them now a favorite to win this competition. Netherlands today played way better than they did during group stage while Turkey wasn't really convincing in that regard. I still think Austria doesn't need to hide with their performance and with a bit more luck Austria would have either forced the game to go to overtime or even turn the game.

The statement that Holland 'crumbled' against Austria is a bit disrespectful to Austria ;) Austria is a very well organized, confident and tactically strong team, as they had shown in their comfortable win against Poland and unlucky narrow loss against France. The game was very close, ending in a narrow 3-2 loss for Holland (including a Dutch own goal). It was disappointing for Holland, but nothing to be embarrassed about. (The word 'crumble' might be more appropriate for Turkey in their 3-0 loss against a far from impressive Portugal ;)). If Turkey manages to score an early goal against Holland it could become an interesting match. But if Holland scores first, the match will be over and Turkey has to be careful to prevent a repeat of their last match against Holland ;)

Its hard not to be excited for Spain v Germany as they've been easily the two best teams in the Euros. A final in the quarters no doubt and its Spain going through for me. But coming in a strong second is Netherlands v Türkiye. Both teams are playing well and have the individual talent to go and win as opposed to just sitting back to defend a slim lead. The dutch to take it. Portugal v France? Neither team have been able to put it together in the final third so far so we could easily see another penalty shootout. Maskbappé ftw. And finally.... Switzerland please. PLEASE knock out the abominable disasterclass that is England. Southgate has been unbelievably lucky so far to have avoided quality opposition but surely now the time has come for the matrix to reset itself. Even Englands own fans can't stand watching their misery.

As a Swiss, it would indeed be historical if we reached the semis. It would be a childhood dream come true for me... and the fact that we actually have a chance to get there? Insane. It just hit me that we call football players in Turkey by their first names! At least for the turkish ones. Sounds strange hearing them called by their last names

Netherlands don't "cook" in the midfield. Actually midfield is their weak chain. Their strength is their wings and wing backs. Also they have the best formed back four in the tournament. Xavi is not an actual 10 and rest of the midfield three have been average. Turkiye have a chance but they have to play as good as Austria game if not better.

Something like Erdolfs 'Türkiye' sounds just like a C class country. are Turkish people really so stupid not to reflect this global (and btw. also marketing/artistic) perspective? France isn’t put in a lot of goals or chances either. Same with England. But as they saw the ball rolls so anything can happen. I’m Canadian but I married a Portuguese woman 30 years ago.

I think Germany will win from Spain. Just because Spain is very young., France instead of Portugal. Because they know how to kill a game and still have a lot of quality. Switzerland instead of England because England hasn't had a good game this entire tournament and I feel their player are over hyped. They are good.... but exceptional...
