    Nice review. I received my La Marzocco Micra and Eureka Mignon Libra last week. I have yet to bypass the FH error - 0g of coffee ground so far. I am using the Micra's portafilter with double-spout attachment as you do in the video. I have gone through the calibration process multiple times. It refuses to accept it. Very frustrating.

    Just purchased through I drink coffee along with a Micra. Question, to adjust the grind setting do you have the machine grinding while you turn the knob?

    Hi @JasonCummins-ks9jf, thank you for your interest in our Mignon Libra. To adjust its grind setting toward the “fine” end, the machine must be grinding to prevent blockages. This is because as you go finer, the burrs go nearer each other and, if the motor is not on, coffee beans may remain trapped inside the small place between the burrs. On the other hand, to adjust the grind setting toward the “coarse” end, the machine can be off. Greetings from Florence! Eureka

    Thanks for the vid. One issue: should always use the funnel that comes with this unit as this is very helpful to reduce the grinding spray on the unit and table. NOTA: This machine does have issue with measuring if the portafilter isn't balanced on the scale / cradle. An "FH" will appear on display if PF is not level on it. This means "Filter Holder" and you have to take the PF out the cradle and wait 5 secs and then place back in and hit the grind level on the display. It's finicky but I hate measuring out so this is easy but temperamental grinder.

    100% agree with using the funnel; I also found FH errors less common since I started using the Libra funnel.

    @@iDrinkCoffeeCanada Thank you for your answer. Since I'm not interested in the speed, only in the cup result, do you think there is a real gain in cup with the 65mm burrs rather than the 55mm burrs from eureka? this question because obviously the price is not the same (I only drink espresso from a Rocket Appartamento)

    Besides grinding for espresso coffee, does it provide, on the other end of the scale, a coarse enough grindfing for a "moka" type coffee brewer?

  • @iDrinkCoffeeCanada

    Hi, I would not recommend this grinder for other types of the grinding. The forks are designed to fit a portafilter and grind for espresso. If you are looking for a more all around grinder there are other choices like the Mahlkonig X54.

    Ah this is awesome, my only concern with some of the higher-priced Eurekas is that the base is basically the same as the cheapest Crono (the motor, the burrs) for around $300 and then you're paying $700+ for features like quieter grinding and grind by weight, which means that the outcome (grind quality and consistency) will be pretty much the same. Would love to see this feature on their "upgraded" matching with larger burrs like Stark.

    Libra means pound in Spanish and probably in Italian too . I don't think It's because of the astrological signs 🤷‍♂️.

  • @iDrinkCoffeeCanada

    @iDrinkCoffeeCanada

    I think this is all related. In Italian the word pound is Libbra but they chose the English spelling. The 7th astrological sign Libra is Bilancia in Italian; that translates to balance which is another word for scale.
