Lino was one of the sweetest characters in any series. I cried and cried. What an exquisite person. The chemistry between Lino and Zoe was perfect. What I didn't know was that, not only was the writer of the novel this comes from a black woman who lived and married a chef in Italy; Zoe is also married to an Italian guy and lives there.

I hope Eugenio and Zoe get Oscars for their acting in From Scratch! Thay did an extraordinary job portraying such a beautiful, heart-wrenching love story!!!

Just seeing his face and the tears are reappearing. Eugenio gave an outstanding performance. He was able to portray such vulnerability and strength at the same time. I especially loved the way he often spoke with his eyes and conveyed his thoughts and feelings wordlessly. He seems very mature and wise for someone only in his twenties.

Being an African woman living in Italy, I enjoyed this series immensely. Great acting by Zoe+Lino and everyone. The last episodes made me cry my eyes out. I loved this series ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

The second to the last season is more than painful for me huhu

The actor that played Lino did an amazing job. Whoever, casted the actors for this script was right on the mark. It was nice to finally hear from Lino. Great to hear that you’re working on a new role with Denzel & Queen Latifah. Best of luck!👏🏾🙏🏽👍🏽

Someone asked that of Locke she said he's so busy filming The equaliser. I was kinda upset because I didn't see him at the premier but that is the reason From Scratch is going nowhere soon as many of us have and continue to watch multiple times bringing new viewers along. We'll get an interview with him when he gets some down time I'm sure.

I love him already. He was great in From Scratch. I heard that he will be in The Equalizer 3 with Denzel Washington. I’m looking forward to seeing him in more movies.

This actor is brilliant and i hope he makes more movies. His performance with Zoe was incredible, as it makes us think about several questions. He speaks with his eyes and his acting was extraordinary! Hopefully there will be a second season with Lino appearing in flashback. All the actors were wonderful!

Eugenio/Lino is a incredible actor. He plays a great part in "From Scratch". The series is very romantic and also very sad. I loved it very much. The scenery is absolutely stunning. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

From Scratch is the best love story....the love between Lino and Amy was beyond awesome...the way he played Lino caught me and kept me..the family dynamics..the way that they supported each other❤️❤️❤️

"I just improvise and serve" . What an amazing and humble person. Amazing actor,excellent acting in part of Lino. Did not expected much when I first flicked on the series,but it was really powerful and beautiful. Story that stays with you. Will go and buy a book now to read. Thank you for bringing this story of love and the love of family to our lives.

Eugenio is not only an actor but an intelligent and super humble person as well. I am happy to get to see this interview after I cried my soul out during the scratch. We need to see more Eugenio movie 🎥 The Scratch and everyone involved must get an Oscar. I don’t think we had such quality movie or series in several years. This’s it.

“From Scratch” is one of the best dramas I’ve seen in quite a while. Eugenio and Zoe were cast perfectly as was the reminder of the cast. I believe I cries for hours.it was beyond precious. Thank you for sharing this story with all of us.

I have watched this literally three times. Lino and Amy beautiful love story. But what resonated more was Amy being a caregiver. This is my life. An awesome movie. I hope it wins every award.

I think i have seen it about 5 time, and can watch it again. to cry each time is about right each time,,Netflx did it again, the DUKE AND I WAS first, and not "from Scratch"...

He is really really good. Something very vulnerable and relatable on screen about him. Brought me to tears! His eyes are so expressive.

Oh my gosh. I loved him in From Scratch. Such a great actor that really draws the audience in to the life of the character. This series hit personal and was so amazing to watch.

I was blown away by the series and the chemistry between zeo and him.. Fantastically told. Loved it so much, I'll prolly watch it again at some point. Well done guys, once in a while comes along something like this and leaves a, lasting impression

I watched this last night. It was very emotional for me, the dying part. I have since lost both me parents and grandparents as well, recently, me 2 sisters and me dog. It brought me great sorrow in watching the full series. I had not idea it was a true story. First time, hearing about this actor, Eugenio Mastrandrea, Will be keeping an eye out for him, for sure. An artiste who clearly loves his craft and it shows..he made lino come alive( so much that I was salivating everytime he cooked/plated his Italian food with his charming smile and cried my eyes out seeing him loose his battle to cancer..and the pain in his eyes 🥺😭)..he's absolutely charming ❤ ..felt little disappointed (I could be wrong) he was kind of ignored in all the interviews ..and dint get his due. just like everyone else when I saw this series i was blown away by the actores and wanted to know all about them..this is the first interview with Eugenio and I love his humbleness, he reminds of Rege' Jean Page from the Bridgerton, Duke and I another big love story...I am sure we wont have to search to hard to find him in other movies and events. he has just become a world wide actor to watch...he can now name his price now for future events, and projects..

Speaking in English with that italian accent make him more attractive and irresistible!!! Bacio!

I am blown away from this dynamic series. All the actors/actress were phenomenal. Eugenio, you played the role Lino so great you touched my heart. You made this story come so alive. I get chills thinking about this character. Zoe and Lino chemistry was so pure organic at best. From scratch series touched my soul. Immediately after watching I went to research the series and discovered it was based on a true story a memoir by Timbe Locke and Attica Locke her sister made this story come alive through film. I cried my heart out in this series it was raw, poignant, charming sad so many vibes. The entire cast was so talented my cousin plays Zoe father. I love Kieth he’s an amazing actor.

After watching this movie, I realized the cancer was his dad. His guilt and shame with his dad. It just appeared like everytime he tried to get on his feet, the cancer would attack again.

He is so fine and a sensitive actor. Loved from Scratch. Binge watched the entire series on Saturday .

Eugenio is such a great actor, and such a well-spoken, geniuine, and intelligent human being. I'm wondering why there aren't more interviews with him...glad I found this one and another one but he definitely deserves to be more under the spotlight for this series as he had the difficult role of portraying a main protagonist who is no longer with us and he did it brilliantly.

Eugenio has me wanting an Italian Guy. There's just something about him, can't put it into words. He sounds so mature for his age and those eyes, OMG, he looks like such a sweet person. When I looked him up halfway through the series, I discovered we share a birthday!!! Now that makes me love him more.
