The strained relationship of father and son is so compelling, sad, and full of unspoken love... It was so beautifully portrayed, our society teaches men to be Macho and strong and never show emotion and these are two opposites. The message in the end is that we all need love and that everyone is looking for the same thing.

This story hit home hard, I'm married to an Italian and understanding those cultural differences, I could feel the awkwardness of introducing this person who is so different and outside the box to your family and friends and all the things that come from that. I had friends tell me my now husband just wanted me for a visa. 15 years later and 3 children now we are still together. Long love and doing life with someone isn't always easy, and I could totally relate on so many levels in the beginning of this story. I feel like I need to read the book now. Well done tembi and Zoe and eugenio absolutely 10/10

I, too, watched this epic short series with my heart in my hand. The acting was tremendously beautiful by each character. Zoe Saldana brought me back to her as an actress. She did a fabulous job. Eugenio Mastrandrea was absolutely beautiful, such humility, and deep kindness. Together, the Love was palpable. It felt like I was part of their story in that I was involved in every scene, laughing or crying, crawling under the nearest rock when Kellita Smith's 's character purposefully stepped into a place that wasn't hers to step into! I simply LOVED all of the characters! I can't wait to read the book! I cried tears of joy and sorrow. The marriage of these two faraway cultures was a blessing the world needs to witness and remember. We are one Love...
