this is so great. I started a game as Denmark last night and thought, I haven't played this country since it got flavor years ago. I have no idea what I'm doing.

Hello Zlewikk, since you do the danish scandinavian HRE run , you could also try to get the "Neither Holy, nor greman" achievement so you will do a 5 achievement run

Keeping control of Sweden while degrading them in that mission is no easy feat. Is it theoretically worth it to wait to integrate Swe/Nor, to abuse the +25% goods produced they give?

For anyone looking to build an even stronger denmark, integrating norway and sweden is actually a debuff because you lose the buffs from making them rivals. 35 goods, 10 build cost, 25 manpower and sailors recovery, -25 nobility influence and 10 trade efficiency is literally an entire idea group of modifiers. Denmark also gets 25 trade and a bunch of liberty desire from mission tree. And not many know this but modifiers from the unions remain active even if you tag switch. Nearby tags that are easy to achieve and strong are prussia which requires prussian culture and 3 provinces from the teutons and england which is part of your mission tree. You could easily destate denmark, form prussia for crazy ideas, 1 army trad decay from mission then form england for good missions and gov reform and 10 ica from mission. England also gets free explorer and colonist as does denmark so you can colonize without any ideas. If you are not going for emperorship its important to note that diplo ideas are actually a risk because 2 diplo rep might integrate your norway automatically losing you modifiers

After 3k hours, and shenanigans on all 6 continents, I think post LotN Denmark is legitimately the most OP starting nation in the game

i did a denmark campaign a couple of weeks ago and i changed the color to blue when i had the decision to because the yellow is terrible also the flag for the kalmar union is cool
