In pretty much all the games I've done in 1.37 the Ottomans have failed to launch. Sometimes that was directly my fault (playing as Venice, Mamluks etc), but not always.

@@DylanSargessonwhat I have seen in my games is that Venice is taking Constantinople before them, also countries like Castille are taking defender of the faith, which makes the Ottomans less likely to even attack Albania or the Knights, all these has made the Ottomans less aggressive than previous patches (regardless they still end up kicking Venice’s butt and capturing Constantinople, it just takes them longer)

in my recent Bharat achievement gameplay they exploded on their own after full annex of Mamluk and Persia due to wars with Austria and Russia at same time, also tons of rebels before and after ofc, even French ally didnt help them much

For the tunis achievement, you have to start as tunis unfortunately. On the wiki, the 'Playing as Tunis' is listed under the starting conditions column.

I remember you saying that you don't think military ideas are needed in single player in your idea tierlist wideło. But I still take them a lot. Government ideas - aristo, pluto, divine etc. - give some other nice bonuses, offensive are good for faster sieges and I like quality as an overall boost to the military. I understand your reasoning, but personally prefer taking one or two mil groups anyway. And it's always a bigger choice in policies.

I prefer taking only quality. They are good as one of the first 3 groups when and if i don't generate enough admin/diplo yet but there is enough high quality admin/diplo ideas to get 7 of them. And 110-120% discipline is enough to beat bots

@@arekzawistowski2609 My most common opener these days is quality, diplo, religious, in no particular order. Not only are they good on their own, they also have policies in 3 different categories. But generally I just adjust my choices based on the situation and I don't actually like picking the same ideas each time. But I noticed that I often end up with these 3 as my first choices.

@@SereglothIV i have weird relationship with religious ideas. I prefer them over humanist but i don't remember when i picked them in the first 3. Very often as 4th but not first 3. My common picks for the first 3 are diplo, administrative, influence also not in this order. early vassal swarm is great and allows to conquer more land than gov capacity. Administrtive+influence politic, influence, nobility privilege and bonus from catholicism (if i play one) is 55% DAC. But if i can't expand as fast to need influence or I don't care about AE and don't need diplo then i often pick quality.

@@arekzawistowski2609 Religious really depends on the location, whether you have different religions around you to conquer and convert or not. I often play in the Mediterranean or in the HRE, so there's never a shortage of heathes or heretics to show them the true way :P Speaking of HRE, I often take espionage as the first or second choice when playing there, due to massive AE reduction and some siege ability for all those capital forts. Plus an extra diplomat and advisor discount is always nice.

@@SereglothIV AE reduction in espionage is great but as big as improve relation bonus in diplomatic but they have way better other bonuses. For me espionage is never in the first 2. Edit. Ofc stacking it is way more efficient but i still like diplomatic reputation, province war score and additional diplomat and relation slot a lot

The generic mission trees got updated with1.37

@Zlewikk the mission didn't bug. You had the same mission as tripolis before. You cannot get bonus twice from a mission with the same name.

I was thinking that you will need to do couple achivements at one run to even try to finish all of them. Nice to see you implemented this strategy :)

Iberian Combo is always super hard, in my last game they even allied Venice and they keeped Ottomans busy. That made it super hard to fight them.

One thing to note about the ottomans but also for other tags: allying a lucky nation disables the lucky nation buff. I dont know why this is but its true. This is why when you ally the ottomans they eat rocks while enemy ottomans conquer half the known world by 1456

Hey, did you know that you can turn any nation into a stateless society? I did this as a test just to see if its possible. I released Iraq from QQ, fed it all the provinces, played as Iraq, got Independence, headed towards Savoy. Invaded and took all of Savoy. Released all Middle east provinces again, made them all hate me and made myself as weak as possible, then I released Savoy and played as Savoy. When I had released Iraq I got to choose Stateless Society because Iraq starts as a tribal nation. When I released Savoy I started Savoy as Stateless. So I get to be in the HRE as a stateless Tribe that can reform later into a Horde if I want. I went defensive Ideas. I did all the missions to get the forts. I got the event for defensiveness. I now have 11 level 4 forts and 1 level 5 fort with + 166% Fort Defence. The only problem is the -99% gov capacity.. but as I'm just messing around and testing it, I gave myself tons of reform progress to get it to zero. I dunno if its worth doing without that cheat, unless you immediately release vassals after taking the fort upgrade mission? I just wanted to see how high I could get fort defence in this game. ps - what would be the closest possible tribe near Europe i could release? a better one than Iraq?

The spy network thing is a bug that i also noticed. Just cancel and redoing spy network worked for me.

You definitely need to mock/challenge Laith on this one.

You can release granada and give them ceuta they have a mission that creates a trade center there

If you hadn't done those already I would love to see the Mzab achivement run in order to do An Unlikely Candidate and The Third Way

And there is achivement great power with deserts only

Best to do it with Mamluks. But my first try didn't work. I was trying to combine it with desert power and arabian achievements but Austria got 6,5k developed and 1000k in 1700.

Fyi. After the last dlc the ottomans and the mamluks now always rival the timurids. Thats why you see them so often in a war against the timurids. They basicly support their subjects now all the time.

I've found that spy network is bugged when you tag change the spy network just goes down and keeps decreasing no matter what, you have to stop spying and resend.

Unfortunately I am afraid you will NOT unlock the Tunis achievement. The same happened to me several times starting as Mzab, trying to hunt a few achievements myself. Last time was four days ago, i.e. on the sam patch as you and neither did the Sons of Carthage achievement unlock when I formed Tunis nor did I get it when I cored the required islands.

They changed a lot of the generic missions in last big patch to give tiemd/permanet claims on neiboring provinces/areas.

You could still have raided by using the naval policy for north african culture which gives you ability toi raid

which you cannot pick until you reach 20 naval FL (happened later than me forming tripoli) :)

Basically tunis took that mission that gave the claims, if you make claims on those areas they will appear as permanent claims. It's a weird system.

25:00 maybe it was 1 time only mission and bot Tunis got rewards for it. And you just make it but it lost its rewards

Hmm the Fezzan achivment has requirement that you have to be Fezzan so when you change into tunis you can't do this. But i think that you can do Tunis achivement.
