My sister went through w/that with her DH, who'd rather go to the ESPN place than the Disney Parks. TBH, sadly I think whenever she & her nuclear family go to WDW now, she tries to recreate the Magic she experienced on her First trip to WDW, (a class trip with her HS Marching Band back in 2000 or so when she was in 8th or 9th grade) and it sort of becomes a disappointment because she isn't a teenager running around the parks with her HS BFFs anymore, but instead a 30-something wife & mother...married to a guy with a developmental disability who technically still needs a chaperone on trips beyond just his wife.

Lmao I took my brother to his first Disney World trip this past spring break (we’re doing Disneyland at Christmas). His favorite and most sticking memory isn’t a ride or a show or food, but rather the fact that for two straight days we kept seeing big dudes wearing shirts that said “I’m Mickey.” Sometimes it had the mouse silhouette instead of the word, but that was all they said, and there was no context. After two entire days, we FINALLY figured it out when one of these big dudes was finally next to a female partner and her shirt said “Oh Mickey You’re So Fine.” If you’re wearing a couple shirt, gotta make sure you’re around your other person lol

My sister wanted us to have matching shirts for when we went to Disneyland for my bachelorette party, and she showed me a few designs to see which I liked. A few of them where "bride tribe" which is a term I'm not a fan of. Instead we went with tank tops that had a silhouette of a princess that was covered in glitter, and the name of what you were in the party. I got Belle, with Bride written under it. It's a nice shirt and It's still in good condition 2 years later. Seeing this video now makes me appreciate the effort she put in to find the shirts even more cause now I'm pretty sure she had to wade through some pretty horrible ones to get what we went with! Also checked out your shirt store, and that Kingdom Hearts/Haunted Mansion is extremely tempting for me to buy. Love the design!

Dan, great video as usual! My husband and I took a trip to Disney World with 4 other adults and our then-toddler son. We wanted to make matching shirts but do something a little bit different. We all chose our favorite Disney movie quote and made the shirts in matching colors. My husband was less than thrilled about the trip…July was the only time we could all go together, and it was the 4th time we had been to Disney in the past few years. As soon as we asked for his quote for his shirt, he quoted Olaf’s “Some people are worth melting for” to indicate both that the summer trip was not ideal BUT that it was absolutely worth it for me and our friends. We’re totally worth melting for. ❤️ We got so many complements on the shirts; the photos are great, every princess commented on our quotes and he turned a grumpy dad moment into a sweet, funny way to show his family he loved them.

I got a shirt from TeePublic that has the Goose from Untitled Goose Game on it wearing a Mickey ear hat with a Mickey pretzel in its mouth, with the to-do list from the game underneath that reads: to do list: Steal pretzel from child. It's a reference to a pretty infamous Facebook post complaining about childless adults at WDW. I also saw a design that said "Epcot" in that classic 90s Barbie font, and it's such an obscure reference that almost nobody will get, but I should have bought it.

"Disney must handle an epic amount of poop every year" Can I just tell you a story as a Scottish woman working in custodial at WDW for the college program I was absolutely horrified to discover that some of the nationalities that visit don't flush their toilets so they'll just bin their poopy toiley paper in the tampon bin. I dealt with a lot that summer but THAT was what broke me. I tell this to my fellow Scots/Brits often and they all do not believe me.

This episode was on another level hahaha. The cool dad segment, the poop discussion, the music behind the Finding Nemo shirt. The editing was especially great. Thanks for deep diving for us, I felt embarrassed as a human being that these shirts even existed 😂 The question “whyyyyy” never felt more appropriate haha.

At least one Disney executive must get a kick out of these. It's the only explaination as to why there hasn't been a cease and desist. That or Disney Parks Marketing is getting kickbacks.

So we went to Disney in October and I made the stupid mistake of wearing my converse. We were down there for a week and they were the only shoes that I brought because I wear them all the time and they don’t hurt my feet. By the third day, my feet were hurting so bad that me and my dad went to a Walgreens and had to buy gel insoles. Even thought my feet we’re killing me, we had a lot of fun and the 50th anniversary celebrations were amazing. Next time we go, I’ll be smart and not make the decision to wear converse for a whole Disney trip again. 😂

Im a huge disney person, and we did a disneyworld honeymoon. I tried reeeeeally hard for not stupid and not seen shirts. Total success!! Even multiple employees would stop and tell us that we had some of the best shirts they had seen. And throughout the trip we kept hearing from passer byers "Did you see their shirts!" Or "awww, their shirts were so cute" etc. Non of them made this video, so yay, extra score! My favorite though was a "just hitched" with our wedding date, and it was haunted mansion themed with the hitch hiking ghost, but they let me help design it. We did I don't do matching shirts with a classic mickey, all grumpy. But then mine said "I DO!!" With Minnie showing a ring

I am a sucker for coordinated tshirts, but only when they're cute! Like for our honeymoon, my husband and I got shirts that said "Bride" and "Groom", plus "Just Hitched" with the hitchhiking ghosts. I hate those weird toxic masculinity shirts most, so weird.

The last time I went to WDW, I saw at least 4 men wearing gun shirts. Like AK-47s on them. At least one of which even Mickey was holding. Like is this the place for that? Yeah, I also don’t like the toxic masculinity shirts of like “I’m here to pay for everything.” First off, it’s sexist implying that the man is making all the money. And secondly, if you really don’t want to go, don’t go! When I was in elementary school, my mom, my sister, my grandma (weirdly not my mom’s mom, but my dad’s) , and myself went to WDW while my dad, older brother, one of my uncles, and papaw (my mom’s dad) went fishing in Canada. And it was fine. It was better than us going to Canada with them or my brother and dad going to WDW with us.

I’m all for getting shirts of Etsy! I’m personally very picky when it comes to a shirt though. I like picking characters/aesthetics that match the park I’m going to. For example, on my last trip, I wore a “Hey Mickey” shirt for my arrival day, and for my Magic Kingdom day, I found a shirt with all different characters and park aesthetic icons shaped into a Mickey silhouette. You managed to find the most ridiculous shirts! We all know these custom shirts are Disney Parks culture at this point, so why not mock them lol.

Great video Dan! I love your energy. Here’s an idea for my fellow alternative fashion friends: it’s a graphic Jack Skellington (a happy one, not spooky face one) and has the text saying something along the lines of “goths go to theme parks too!” Or maybe “I’m the goth” with subtext “and I’m having fun at Disney.” (Heck here’s a dad joke version “don’t stop my motion.”) Something that gives off a “strange and unusual” but happy and even harmless vibe. It’s difficult to get around a theme park in a lot of alt clothes and accessories so I always wore my many Jack Skellington shirts with capris/shorts and converse as a teen. I would’ve loved these as a teen myself, but what does everyone else think? Also any goth or alternative Disney fans out there?
