ETS & Thai Railway KL Sentral to Hatyai, Thailand by train
We took the KTM ETS 9:50am train from KL Sentral Station and arriving at Padang Besar Station at 3:23pm. From here we took the Thai Railway shuttle train from Padang Besar Station to Hatyai Railway Station. The journey is about an hour and it gives an opportunity to view the rural life of Southern Thailand.

Hi, may I ask how much is the train transportation ticket fees that you have paid from KL Sentral till Hatyai? How is Aloha Hotel, is it good to stay? We only need to show our passport when existing Hatyai train station, is that so?

KTM ticket from KL Sentral to Padang Besar is RM102 for adult. Senior rate is about 50% cheaper. Train from Padang Besar to Hatyai is RM8. Aloha is cheap and clean and near to train station, shopping centres, market and eateries. The Msian and Thai immigration are at Padang Besar train station, so it is very convenient. At Hatyai you just exit.

Many thanks for the useful info...from KL Sentral to Padang Besar take about 5 hours, right? Normally we can buy the train ticket thru online, is that so?

@@debbieliew6153 Yes, travel time from KL Sentral to Padang Besar is about 5 hours. You can buy ticket online or at the KTM ETS counter at KL Sentral
