I’ve said this before, but it takes a while for my water to heat up. I don’t leave it running longer than necessary, but I feel like we’re told not to wash our face in cold water and then we’re also told not to waste water…. What do I do!?

Almost freezing water is bad because it can harm the skin and create couperosis with long term use. But room temperature water does no harm. Generally cold water from the faucet will be slightly colder than room temperature. But not so much that it does harm. Of course if people like warm water, they can use it. But that's strictly about their preferences. Whether the water is room temperature or skin temperature it will have no significant difference concerning the cleaning.

Speaking of running water, I live in Japan and there's a sink on top of my toilet. When I flush the toilet, the sink on the toilet runs and you can wash your hands there. Then your dirty hand water fills the toilet bowl. All toilets should work that way. Why do we need to defecate in fresh, clean water?

Ig the facial oil she was using had ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate in it in the ingredients list, which is relatively expensive to source and is a stabilised oil soluble form of vitamin C which looks as promising as L-arscorbic acid. I'm pretty impress with Hailey Bieber's skincare routine. She understands her skin's needs and she has beautifully explained why she has chosen a specific product at a specific step in her routine. I would definitely like her keep the facial oil for night time routine since it may hinder SPF protection. Products move around our face and oil could not let the SPF spread properly exposing some areas. I am sure she re-applies throughout the day so she should be good.

To be honest, that level of skin care really isn't required under 25. The things that cause skin damage and aging haven't started by that age. Full elasticity and collagen. It's marketing and social media that has made women this age to thing they need full routines and even procedures before their skin even shows signs of aging. Under 25 basic cleansing and sunscreen is more than enough for basic skin with added hydration or specific care for dry or acne prone skin.

I used to hate sunscreen because I have sensory issues and I hated the way it felt, but since it’s necessary for me, I found that the stick ones work best! It doesn’t get all over my hands and they normally don’t smell strong . I like the elta md stick one

I am soooooooooo glad she mentioned the water conversation thing!!

I use the Ordinary’s caffeine serum! It actually does work with my under eye puffiness, it actually shocked me since nothing works lol. Also Hailey is one of the few celebs I can tolerate, like she genuinely seems like a sweet girl granted I only see so much but I enjoy her!

Even at age 9 I was using Evian water spray on my skin to care for it LOL! My first nice skin care set was Lancome before I hit my teens. This is soooo fun, interesting and educational! Excited to watch more! I know you don’t like Evian spray but I love it!

Weren't the two finger stripes of spf meant for your face and neck? That makes it harder to understand how much goes for the face in particular.

Half a teaspoonful for face. Half a teaspoonful for the neck. It's prob more than you're using, but it's needed to get full protection.

1/4 tsp for face and 1/4 tsp for neck Total 1/2 tsp will be enough for your whole face incl ears. 2-3 finger stripes is okay but depends on your sunscreen because sometimes the hole on sunscreen tube are not same, some might be big and some are small.

And then we have people like me, who just started up with a sunscreen mousse and is now totally lost ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I will use enough product until i feel like i have the same amount results as my liquid spf, or i will apply until i think i am done and then some, because that's the general rule. But i would love to know the right amount for mousse too :( it seem like a great product so far!
