ESP LTD James Hetfield Snakebyte - Sounds

Ойын-сауық

For more gear reviews, check out: www.guitarworld.com/gear
In this video, Guitar World's Paul Riario reviews the ESP LTD James Hetfield Snakebyte guitar. In an effort to keep the talking points and playing examples isolated from each other, we have decided to break both into two videos, giving all users the option of going directly to either aspect of the review, immediately. THIS VIDEO CONTAINS ALL PLAYING EXAMPLES RELATED TO THE PRODUCT.
This video is bonus content related to the November 2011 issue of Guitar World. For full print reviews, lesson tabs and more, look for the November 2011 issue of Guitar World on newsstands now, or purchase this issue in our online store here:

  • @awsomejustin8

Those are the right pickups. When it first came out, it had EMG 81/60 pickups, what James used for a very long time. Then James got his own signature pickups, then they switched out the pickups on all of his guitars. So, now they are different, but at the time this video was made they were the right ones

Well people who test the guitar a James Hetfield signature might get hit with the copy right infringement due to the fact that they don't have Metallica's permission to play these songs. Their videos could be removed by youtube due to copyright and they do not want it.

What James Hetfield has done to the Explorer with the Snakebyte design seems similar to what Dimebag did to the ML with the Razorback design. Make it pointier and give it a custom 12th fret inlay. Nonetheless, they both sound like their predecessors anyway, which is good, I like the ESP EX style guitars, this is just sort of a more updated one. I'd love to know what amp this guy's playing through, that tone is pretty amazing too =D
