Thank you for explaining the ESOP shares!! My question is: Is it worth for an employee paying a large amount for ESOP shares or not? Do I understand correctly that you can only sell the ESOP shares or benefit from them when the company is resold? I would be grateful for your feedback!
Excellent 💯 worthfully clear understood
Happy teachers day dear sir, u taught this with so much simplicity and clarity in concept. I have never seen such straight and clear teaching. Great. Love and respect for this.! 😃❤️
I have watched many videos on ESOP but still few confusion in many videos. Let's say I have got the 3000 Shares Stock option over the 4 years period (Locking period) at price 20 GBP (UK) per share. Now after four years that company per share market price is 200 GBP then If I convert my stock option 3000 to shares then Should I get 3000 actual market Shares?
Thank you sir for the explanation in English

It's very clear explanation sir. I have a doubt, in case foreign company is issuing ESOPs to Indian subsidiary, can Indian subsidiary can book the expense and claim tax benefit

Sir what is lock-in period? Is lock-in period & vesting period same?
@1FIN
5 жыл бұрын
Lock in period is the period in which the employee cannot sell or transfer the shares. Vesting period is the period over which the options get vested. They are not same.
Once the shares get vested, is it wise to sell or will the share value change if we let the amount remain
@1FIN
Жыл бұрын
It depends on the performance of the company
Sir what about shares offered at zero value upon fulfilling of service condition
@1FIN
Жыл бұрын
Entire amount is credited to equity and securities premium
Ayyeee it was so simple lmao and also under 10 mins
your content is good. please don't strech each and every point so long.
Understood well by you 😮

Then why is difference between FMV and Exercise Price taxed? What is the logic?
@shri5248
4 жыл бұрын
If say FMV is ₹ 25 per share Excercise price is ₹ 15 Those 10 ruppee per share is considered as perquisite ( because it is a benefit to employee) for that difference amount we are paying tax
Did time limit vesting period, minimum is 1yr

Depends
👆👍😍
Am new to this concept so probably a lame question. In example lets say, Employee has opted to buy the 5000 shares. Question is: can the Employee opt to buy out of 5000 only 500? or does it mean Employee has to buy the whole 5000?
@1FIN
3 жыл бұрын
employee can buy 500
