In the worldbuilding docs there's a character talked about that's a demon hunter that we have yet to see, I wonder if this ex could be that demon hunter edit: nvm, upon further reading, the inquisitor (that's what they're called) is feminine and while I don't wanna assume the ex seems to be masculine presenting. Still certainly possible, but alas, probably not

Nah it could be relevant in the matter it could refer to the preoccupation you escaped to an organization, nor it could simply be a Carpe diem.

I love that it didn't become a love story until they actually started having a calm and normal life, instead of when they were chased and going through hell. It let them make a responsible decision at the appropriate pace.

Right??? I really agree with you. It's such a breath of fresh air to see romance bloom when the characters start actually living instead of being constantly on the run. Too much media shows romance bloom in the middle of danger and life-and-death situations but this point in the animatic is what I strongly believe where romance should bloom, not during adrenaline situations and death, but in these small moments of peace and finding your own footing and just having these characters be able to breathe and go through this romance at their own pace and I just love this so much hdjsks

I feel like they connected to a degree during the escape and the journey. But yeah, they didn't really think about love until after things became calm and they could process their emotions properly

What I love so much about these characters is that they aren't confined in the box of gender standards. My boi has flowers in his hair and looks fucking majestic with his hair while my girl got an undercut and is rocking those tattoos. Like, my bisexuality is fucking quaking.

I can't stop looking at that ending where they're all laying down together, Toasty you're gonna kill me with the softness

That was a nice little twist you put in there. With the way Sanga's flashbacks to her past relationship go it makes you think 'she's hung up on that other guy so she can't bring herself to this new relationship' But then you reveal the betrayal and the realization comes that 'oh, Sanga's insecure about starting a new romantic relationship because she'd been hurt before' but then Sanga remembers Ashivon isn't that other guy, he's his own person and her love for him doesn't have to be tainted because of the past. They very purposefully left all that behind, now is the time for them to be happy together.

*not gonna lie...I am totally in love with Their freind Ahmmivah.that one scene were he is smiling, blood on his lips Hand thrown in the air in victory THE LIGHT SHINING, and Evey scene AFTER just MMMMMM*

Your world-building is fantastic. I feel fully immersed in this setting and that is absurd to accomplish within less than five minutes. And the character work? Yes! Splendid. Them getting upset over a friendly brawl because of trauma is painful but so real. Wonderful. I would want to see this world unravel on a bigger screen.

I love so much about this... here's a list! - that they got to be there long enough to have their hair grow out to where they want it, and then have it styled how they choose. - Sanga's fancy undercut (I think that's what it's called). -that Davi and Ameqa came to visit and helped Sanga with the fancy cut. - the vibe that the Voa have their own culture that's so distinct from where Ashivon and Sanga came from. - Ahnmivah's Big Goofy Friend energy. - Sanga's wrestling with her demons and her own trauma, while also panicking about how much she likes blushing. - Ash and Ahn's confusion about why she gets all blushy. - Ash making his feelings known but then giving her space when he thinks Sanga isn't ready. - The sync up at the big "I WANT!" right before they smooch. - That they smooch! Ahhhh... you killed it toasty, you killed it. And you spoil us with all the detail and super high quality art in this one. Also, that comment that the next one won't be near so happy is both ominous and expected after this. This was the happy interlude between part 1 and 2... I'm sure there will be, like, an invasion by the Divinity people or something coming in part 4, and scared as I am of some of these lovelies getting hurt, the story of it all should be extremely interesting.

Seeing Ashivon doing his morning stretch is so cute. Seeing the fighting competition was pretty cool andI can tell Ashivon is having flashbacks to the arena. You can tell just by his expression. That's the beauty of ToastyGlow. A single face can tell an entire scene. 3:30 - That friend of theirs is looking like he's saying "FINALLY!"

If there's one thing this animatic did, it's managing to get me interested about about Voa culture. Like I noticed the way they dress is quite unique and I get the feeling they were inspired by ancient greek clothing(and of course, other types of clothing from other cultures). This was an amazing animatic that was definitely worth the wait.

@@cicadeus7741 Weaving can also serve as writing system if there's not a written form of communication. Apparently, historians theorized that the old inhabitants of Machu Pichu. Peru 🇵🇪 had either a writing or math system using threads by tying specific nots on specific places.

@@cicadeus7741 I'd say another thing this animatic caught my attention with is the Voa's writing system. Like, depending on the language or culture; for example China or Greece, they have their own specific way of being read (Greek is read from right to left, Chinese from up and down in old scrolls)and/or presented in different letters or complex caricatures(Again, Greek has its own letters that are different from the Latin alphabet and Chinese has its own kanji). My God did Toasty go all out by making the Voa feel real and cultured.

Ooooh, I like the bit at 1:00 where the other Voas are doing competitive fighting and both of them have a moment where they remember the Divinity death colleseum and the horrors that happened there. The murders Ashivon was forced to commit. The wounds of his Sanga healed. The blood they both saw. The cruel looks of the nuns, the jeering of the crowds, the pain, and screaming, and bodies, and all of it. Toasty didn't even have to show a flashback, because the looks on their faces show it all. Nice touch.

Sanga going, "Nope, too pretty, I'll just sink to the bottom of the ocean" is embarrassingly relatable. I love this new video so much! Great song, new to me, and amazing character progress without a single word!

I just read the official Lore Document, and I love how you can see Ahnmivah do the steps of "Yes, you're both hot, come hang out with me- to oh god you're both so traumatized I'm going to hold on any kind of romance." 😆😆😆

ALSO its so obviously not the main point but, the fact that you drew in underarm hair makes me really happy, there are so many tiny details but they're all so meaningful??? Its amazing

I've watched this so many times and I'm still noticing new things!! Like at 2:28 they're painting her arms to hide her tattoos as gorgeous patterns!! Aaaaaaa I love it! AND AT 3:34 IT'S COMING OFF!!! And she's not afraid to be near him with her arms uncovered/unhidden help this is melting my heart all over again!!!

*Sees that there is a part 4* "Oh. This is going to break me, isn't it?" But in all seriousness, it was really cool to see a picture show rather than your usual fast paced animatics, it suited the soft atmosphere. I also loved the kiss so gosh dang much. I love these two characters and seeing them happy is more than I could ever ask for.

If this does not have a happy ending I will simply cease existing

I really love the design on the back of her head/hair. It looks like a sun and waves on the bottom? OMG me squealing over that wonderful kiss... Ahahahahahaha... I love the clothing designs and everything. The culture looks so unique and interesting... I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS!!!!!

I gotta say that I deeply love Ahnmivah. Love to see a big guy getting to be chonky without that being all that he gets to be. Also, he just looks very huggable.

Aside from all of this being increadibly beautiful, touching, and brilliant - can we all apreciate how many different OUTFITS are shown in this bit??? Ashivon and Sanga each wear FIVE different pieces of clothing, and this entire thing is less than four minutes long. OMG, the amount of work and dedication put into this series makes me wanna cry ;__;

I love how Ash stretchs like a cat, just makes him look even more adorable.

There is something so homely and familiar about Ashivon reconnecting with his culture are people. Love the portrayal!

As soon as I saw this, I sat my ass down and said “OK TIME TO ADMIRE AN ARTIST!”

I am flabbergasted at the beautiful and kind man Ashivon grew to be! The flowercrown looks good on him

This is so beautiful. I love the scene where Ashivon and Sanga are learning the Voan writing language (Voash?). I love the detail that Sanga is reclaiming the tattoos/brands on her arms. I love Ahnmivah, I've seen him for 4 minutes and he is the best.

Sanga's facial expression at 3:07 when the song impactfully goes "I want a hundred days." Just gut punches me so hard every time! I love this so much Toasty!! This animatic series is just amazing and beautiful!!!

I love how at 3.32 the big Voa Ahnmivah’s body language gives off an air of smugness as if he knew their feelings from the start, and Sanga’s pointing her finger like she’s calling his BS and Ashivon’s silhouette expression is like “oh my gosh no way! Was it that obvious?” It’s crazy how you’re able to express so much emotion through just body language and facial expression art

I love the relationship between them, at first it was just their escape, an escape emotionally to not be broken by the people above. Then when they ran away, it was more defined, both so selfless as to not hurt the other, both ready to cut themselves out to make the other happy. Then when they finally got comfortable being intimate and breaking down the walls it was this part of exploring their relationship, just enjoying each other's time and just making solidifying something already there :) I love the time spent and I hope you enjoyed making it cause I definitely enjoyed watching it!! (≧▽≦)

Just want to say the armpit hair is a very nice detail to the fact.

I love how you bookended this with her waking up from a memory, a dream. And in the end, waking from a dream come true, she smiles. Idk, that detail in particular made me so happy.

While some people do believe that we are designed to have only one partner, there are no rules for love. There is no “design” that we must follow. It is true that jealousy exists as does human nature, but that does not mean that polyamorous relationships cannot be loving. No love should be abnormal or sinful (unless it’s pedophilia). Love is not sin. Also, sex does not ever equal gender. It is true that we are all in this together, but your “we” must include everyone. God loves everyone and is with everyone every step of the way. Something I’ve noticed is the use of glowing and light in these animatics, in the first animatic the only glowing/ extra light came from the magic, in part two natural light was present but only in certain frames and now in most of the shots glowing sunlight and firelight and countless unique light sources (the FIREWORKS man) are present I’m still figuring out what it means (if it means anything at all) but I thought that was such a pretty detail

And I am crying again. Fuck, this is such a wonderful story. I can't help but want to know more about this gorgeous and yet heartbreaking world. Want to know every system, every sorrow, every creature and person. Want to know what they celebrate and what kind of creatures co-exist with them as cats or dogs do in our world. Want to know how they cook, what professions they have, what more glorious sights this world has to offer. Thank you for giving us this precious glimpse into this wonderful world you have created. I hope to learn more in the years to come and see you blossom further.

Ahnmivah is totally that friend that has a truck and would help you move your fridge. That's just the energy I'm picking up from him. Also, it took me my fifth view but I realized that was paint on Sanga's forearms and not a tattoo cover up.

Let me just say something... I had the most awful week so far. I've cried a lot these days and even though I was waiting for this third part anxiously, I clicked on the video with very numb feelings. But oh... you did it again. I know very little about these characters, pretty much only the things you show us in these videos and descriptions. But there is something about them. You don't need much to deliver amazing characters. So true. So emotional. I'm pretty aware things can get dark on the next turn, but let me just say seeing them smooch made me tear up. They look so happy and it gives me such a warm feeling. It was all I needed. Amazing work! And thank you.

absolutely adore Ashivon getting a chance to be soft, honestly teared up a little bit seeing him with flowers in his hair and flowy clothing, he doesn't just look good he looks so much more comfortable

I like how Sanga is so much shorter than Ashivon. It makes me laugh when I think how Sanga has to stand on her tip tows to kiss Ashivon and he still has to bend down because how much taller he is to her.

Just, the overall vibe, these complicated characters learning to love and to *want* after escaping this cult that you know didn't want them to be happy The worldbuilding, idk why but I love that chisel stylus they're learning to write with the side characters, like the couple from the last one, their soft expressions, and the big guy who's showing them all these thing about this place he loves, he wants them to be happy! Just, everything about this is *chef's kiss* beautiful

AHHH I JUST REWATCHED PART 1 AND 2 TO GET RECAPED!!! The artwork is phenomenal

I just adore how time progression is so wonderfully shown with Ashivon's hair growing, it's amazing

When I tell you I saw the notification after getting back from being off grid and screamed, I mean I stood up, threw my headphones on my bed while jumping up and down, and ran around my house for five minutes yelling 'ITS HERE ITS HERE ITS HERE ITS HERE ITS HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!' THIS WAS FANTASTIC HOLY CRAP AMAZING WORK AS ALWAYS THIS WAS SO WHOLESOME AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

I got messaged by a friend that there was a new one and now I'm just on a high today. These animatics are my favourite. The timing is impeccable, the transitions are fucking BEAUTIFUL, and the story is both angsty and fucking adorable as shit. I'll just be over here happy stimming for the rest of the day. I have a horrible feeling that Ashivon is going to enter in one of the fights and in the middle of it he starts getting flashbacks and accidentally severely injure his opponent.
