The angles the choice of when and how to cut the EXPRESSIONS. The red soaked memory. Holy shit I'm sending this to all my Critter friends they gotta see this

I’m surprised there hasn’t been an animatic for this scene already (that I can find), and the first one definitely did not disappoint! The look of last ditch desperation at 1:21 was especially gut wrenching

This is heart-wrenchingly beautiful. It may only be an animatic, but your skill and detail at drawing facial expressions makes this whole scene a punch to the gut. The pain on all their faces, anger, frustration, dismay, it's all so excellently drawn. Amazing work, I hope we get to see more like this from you!

I'm so mad KZread didn't recommend this one to me for three entire months but this HURT MY HEART. Seeing everyone go from confused to upset as Scanlan's rant got angrier and angrier was super good. Hell yeah.

The algorithm finally pushed this to me about 4 months late, and that's so unfair. This is brilliant, much better than MANY other animatics out there and an actual popular clip, and it doesn't get traction? So dumb :( The drawings are gorgeous, you nailed their expressions!

good LORD i love scanlan angst, i need more of it he's such an underappreciated character imo

I can't believe I haven't seen anyone comment on how amazing of a decision it was to have Scanlan's hair down for this scene it makes it even more impactful because even physically he isn't even attempting to keep up appearances

When this hits the animated acreen for real in LoVM its going to break so many news fans hearts... Great animatic btw.

Favorite scene probably in all the campaigns, and what solidified Scanlan as probably my favorite character. Amazing art dude, excited to see more of your stuff! P.S. Personally think that the gang's reaction to Scanlan's return was kind of unwarranted, particularly from Pike and Grog who gave him a really hard time. And unless I'm forgetting something, there wasn't really ever like an actual cap on this whole debacle. Like sure Scanlan apologized for leaving and being an asshole, but there was never any restitution/admittance about the points Scanlan made about their imbalanced friendships. It's an interesting issue because the gang is sympathetic since Scanlan never really shared these feelings he had. That's what explains their initial confused and frustrated reactions - but, again, kind of feel like they should've had an aside where they talked things out again and acknowledged Scanlan's feelings and such. Would've wrapped up the whole emotional (and awesome) roller-coaster this plot point was, imo.

I am ashamed that even tho I love Scanlan, as someone who can't really watch the full campaign and is show only, I did not know that he even had a mother

I think they're planning to make it a surprise, a callout both to VM and to the viewers. To show his point even more, tbf in the actual campaign it comes up at the very start and is basically never mentioned again until this point.
