But yeah,a host giggling through six sketches isn't all that it's cracked up to be but I'm not partial to Gosling so that might be the answer,you girls are alot more forgiving.

But there’s truth to it. He just says “beep beep” and somehow it’s legit funny. It’s not deep. It’s not high brow. It’s not intelligent. It’s just laugh inducing somehow. He elicits that response effortlessly. By voodoo or witchcraft.

Ryan’s inability to stop breaking was endearing. Loved Kenan just ‘dropping’ into the scene out of nowhere

Can we talk about how good Chloe’s impression of Julia Roberts is? It’s really hard to do - very subtle pronunciation and phrasing features to master. Incredibly impressive. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

All sketches killed hard tonight, but this one was absolutely the best! Hats off to the writers, completely caught off guard by how good all the jokes were tonight, loved it!

Lorne does indeed dislike when actors break character, but I think he'll realize just how insanely over the top these particular skits were. I mean, how often do you see Heidi Gardner and Mikey Day break? Never. And for both to have broken in two different skits tonight....comedy that is so outrageously dumb that it becomes legitimately hilarious.

You say that like SNL has never made fun of older movies, like those rejected audition reels for movies like Star Wars (the first one from 1977), Back to the Future (1985), or Jurassic Park (1992) or any time they have one of those cinema classics shows showing a long-lost ending or cut scene to movies like Casablanca, It's A Wonderful Life, Meet Me in St. Louis, Wizard of Oz, Gaslight, or The Birds.

I dont know what I expected from this skit... but it turned out brilliant.

This was an episode full of breaking and I'm here for it 😂😂😂

Ryan has been broken since the cold open 🤣🤣 absolutely love it he cant kept together.

Kenan should have said: “Beep beep is the sound I make to squeeze in and make some room for my yam on the table, but I can go bang bang if you dont be quiet!”

That's what I was thinking too. Heck, even just a casual "beep beep" and him then silently pointing at a piece still tucked in his belt would've been a brilliant reference.

keenan never gets old, both age and humor

This is one of the better lead sketches Chloe has done. She plays the role with confidence and clicks with Gosling. The two of them going back and forth with nonsense speeches was fun, as was Kenan's involvement, scene-stealing better than ever. I wish it had had an ending but that's SNL for you.

Ryan (and Kate) likes to improv new things at the live show they didn't do during the dress rehearsal. In this sketch, he says "I thought you had two daughters" which wasn't scripted so Chloe laughs. It might have been funnier if she just claimed she had 30 daughters (she never said she had ONLY two before) but I can see why he'd interject that for laughs.

Everybody broke character in every single sketch 😂

On the contrary, it's much better they didn't interrupt the sketch after each exchange to have Kenan explain the jokes in a funny voice.

Ryan Gosling cracks me up every time. And Keenan is the star of this skit. He's brilliant!

Lauren Michael stepped down and Tina Fey has taken over. I think it’s been an incredible shake up and I finally started watching the show again. You’ll notice instead of a bunch of the same old actors. We recently got a bunch of new up-and-coming comedians. New blood finally hooray How do

I love how fast SNL is with providing content. Like a newsroom they care about weekly and even daily or hourly actualities having the highest standard for what to choose based on time. That means that killing of the darlings must happen already made sketch wise? Or only written because everything is live so done from the first time?

At this point, Ryan Gosling breaking character is a feature in every SNL skits.

Chloe fineman is a legendary actress she can always make me laugh and make me believe the story

Breaking is the highlight for me. I enjoyed every single sketch last night. I could tell they had a lot of fun together and I can’t stop watching and replaying every time one of them loses it.

The writing in this sketch is SO much better than usual! Whole episode, really. Funny, funny stuff.

I texted my dad I loved him and he responded 2 days later saying the Texas Rangers won the World Series.

Her Julia-as-Erin impression is so good, I suspect the idea for the sketch came out of the impression. It feels too solid for it to have been a sketch someone came up with independently, and then someone on the cast happened to be able to nail it this well.
