@RoyalMasterpiece it has nothing to do with wokeness (and you should probably look up the definition of that). Spanglish is would be like "slapear", as in "quisiera slapearte". Going back and forth between the languages is code switching. You should have stayed in school.

@@LindaC616 Hi girly, its actually called translanguaging!Translanguaging refers to the blending of multiple languages and using it at one time. There are a various iterations of it (i.e. Spanglish, Kichidi, Franglais) so saying its just “Spanglish” generalizes and erases other cultures. Code-switching refers to a boundary between 2 languages. In code-switching, you essentially bounce your use from one language to the other keeping them separate. Hope this helps and remember you can answer people without being rude 😊

It's a practice conducted so as to not damage any future growth or opportunities for any intern in case they do a perceivably bad job as an intern. Their names are published along with their work only after they become a standard or permanent employee. Not every organization or company does this, however.

Usually in this kind of sketch Kenan would be the straight man calling out Ryan for changing his accent but here he's just part of the madness and it works.

There’s nothing wrong with wanting children to have as much normalcy as possible and not leaving them while both parents are never around and away on location filming movies. Nothing wrong with having Nannies, as most people I know do, but also nothing wrong with her wanting to retreat from Hollywood. She and Ryan seem to have a lovely marriage and so support each other, always very sad to see the hate thrown her way for no reason.

@@JB-1007 That was odd though considering even though Ryan didn't win an Oscar, it was definitely his night with the outstanding "I'm Just Ken" performance. Pauletta Washington and Rita Hanks for example, are always by their husbands at awards shows and red carpet events even though they are both actresses themselves to a lesser degree. Ryan deliberately took his sister to the big day instead.

It’s a job and I imagine it could be really annoying at times. Eva and Ryan are quoted as hating the fakiness of Hollywood. They want their kids to grow up somewhat normal.

0:17 I think that was the first, if not the best moment in this. I'm almost certain that Sarah and Marcelo did not expect the "Para mi, mami" from Ryan Gosling. They were surprised, but look at their reactions. So professional. Sarah's eyebrows jump up and her eyes widen for a fraction of a second, then it's all normal again, she squeezes her lips shut, no smile or laughter will get out. And she blinks often to distract herself. Marcelo dry-swallows, looks away, closes his eyes to focus, opens them again, nods. Either it was a surprise or he taught Ryan the expression... and was still surprised. I'm also sure that the moment he said it on live TV, Ryan Gosling immediately knew how Eva Mendez will look at him the instant they'll meet back at home, and he lost it for an exhale, but then went back to his role. Keenan has his legendary professionalism, but even he squeezes his lips together so hard at times. Such a fun episode, with just the right amount of breaking. I wish I could be there when Ryan went home, though.
