Dier is rock solid for Bayern... We love him!
Dier comes across really well here, self-aware and articulate. He's by no means a perfect player, but honestly think he's got a lot to offer in his career going forward, 30 is no age for a defender

Cant help but notice how critical it is for the development of a person to spend time abroad. You see levels of maturity, awareness and focus that lacks in the Johnny-never-left-home player. There is no delusion and entitlement, just a warm heart and a cold mind.

One thing these interviews will do is that it will give you another perspective of these players seeing them in another light which will make you reconsider you impressions about them..after all they are humans too. Another great interview from Overlap. Big ups guys 👍
Great interview with some very thoughtful responses whether about football, coaches, friendships or values. I would have loved to hear a bit more about how growing up in Portugal influenced his comfort in working in international environments like Tottenham squads and now his move to Bayern.

Beautiful interview, not boring in a little room but right in middle of the stadium!!👍🏻beautiful and Eric was open, honest and respectful.
What a genuine nice guy, I hadn't really heard him in an interview before, comes across as articulate and grounded.
One thing you can never take away from Eric is his professionalism. He always gives 110% what ever shirt hes wearing. Hes a very mature and grounded person and was a great servant to THFC and i really wish him every bit of success at beyern and really hope he wins something, but not at the expence of Spurs next year. Good luck Eric and thank you for the 9 years.
I always think Eric comes across so well in interviews, his personality is so natural in conversation. Great episode. I hope he keeps playing well for Bayern, and gets that 50th cap. He can replicate that winning penalty against Colombia, against whoever we play in the Euros Final if he wants. 😄

He deserves a 50th cap. He's been a good servant for England and seems a decent bloke. Poor form from Southgate to not keep in contact with one of his former stalwarts, especially when he's made a big move abroad. I expected better from him.
He was an absolute juggernaut against Arsenal. Top player what a bargain for Bayern
he is doing rly well with De Ligt. Better then Kim and Upa.

Thx Gary once again for a great interview with an exceptional human and player. ❤
Although I didn't enjoy watching Dier play for my club Tottenham, I can appreciate that he is a genuinely nice guy. This interview has definitely changed my view on him as well as alleviated some of the pain I had whilst watching the disaster that was the 2022/23 season for Tottenham.

Spurs catching strays. To be fair he's bringing the Spurs DNA to Bayern
A class act, holds himself exceptionally well and that is the product of his early life at Sporting CP he mentioned here, shaking hands with people properly, making your own bed every morning and not playing no matter what if you've done something wrong. The way he also didn't badmouth, but instead praised, every manager he's worked with at Spurs, and Daniel Levy, is refreshing. No doubt he would have had frustration, but he didn't air any dirty laundry at all. Will be interesting to see if he goes into coaching/management after he's done playing.
Sound guy - talks really well. Could see him being a decent manager / coach.

Not sure he's our best CB after Stones but I'd have him in the squad over Dunk for his experience and character. I still think we need someone with proper pace next to Stones if we're playing only 2 CBs. Maguire and Dier are both too slow for us to play front foot football.
Doesn’t have a bad word to say about any one here. He’s seen positives in every topic brought up
Seems like a top top bloke. And i really like that despite him not playing a lot of games for a few years, he seems to still love football, which is great.

Class guy, the likes of Sancho etc should take note of this guy's professionalism.
Dyer is one intelligent man, he has a professional mindset, he s disciplined and if he put a tackle in you know you have been stopped, he can do a serious job for any team he plays for, including england, they cannot all be like stones, Lanzared.

Perhaps they saw the personality he is . But that’s a flawed approach. Every time I listen to an Eric Dier interview , he will never fail to impress me by his maturity and he should be a very intelligent chap . BUT as a Center back , if Spurs wants to progress , Ange is correct , Dier is just not good enough . He did ok at Bayern but nothing more . Now he is in Bayern first team , Dier is telling everyone he deserve an England slot . No , still not good enough . He could be a very good coach in the future though . Also in the Amazon documentary, it seems to me Mourinho is looking for leaders in the Spurs team and 2 names came out ; Dier and Sissoko ! You can see how Mourinho approach his team building but that’s not the way I see as necessary good
