A little about me and this channel:
My name is James Aubrey IV and I just recently graduated college from Iowa State University. After college I decided to take a leap of faith. So I moved to San Diego California to pursue my passion for videography/ KZread. Overall I'm a pretty chill person, outside of KZread I like to longboard, dance, play video games, lift weights and hangout with my friends. I know that success on KZread won't happen overnight but I'm willing to stay patient and put in the work to try to prefect my craft daily. This KZread channel will be centered around my life after college. You will be able to see all of the ups and downs on my journey to success. So if you like the content make sure you subscribe so you can be apart of the Rome Life Family. (Let's build our own personal Rome's together.)
What is the Rome Life ? And What does it mean to be apart of it?
Rome Life is something I started during my Sophomore year of high school (one of the worst times in my life) it started off as me documenting my journey to recovery from my shoulder surgery but eventually it turned into a platform that I could use to encourage myself as well as others to chase our dreams.
Rome Life isn't just a saying it's a way of life and for the people who want to be apart of it have to realize that. Rome wasn't built in a day it took a lot of handwork time and most importantly patience. So you can't expect your dreams to be any different
This is a reaction video used to educated and give my feedback on the song and artist

He had not seen his son in about a year so when he was 3.....he spent the day taking him to the circuis....the next day he was supposed to go to the zoo....he was so excited after seeing his father he kept running away from the nanny. They lived on the penthouse of a highrise and a worker was replacing broken glass on a floor to ceiling window. While the window pane was out the kid , running from his nanny excited to see his dad, ran straight out the open window and fell 53 stories to his death. His mom didn't blame anyone and said she knew the second she saw him go through that hole there was no way he would be OK. It was several years before they started over with their family. He wrote this to help cope with that event. His wife called frantically to Eric's hotel to tell him what happened. Every time he gets to that "Begging Please" lyric I can't help but think about how I would react in his situation and sobbing begging please no.....always shed a tear right there.

@ Roger Boltin Well said. When I first heard this song 20 years ago, I loved it for its own sake. It reinforced my preference for Eric Clapton’s slow, quiet songs, although I also like his loud, up-tempo rockers and everything in between, like “Cocaine”. When I read about his son’s death and that THAT was the catalyst for this song, I cried. I’ve been crying ever since, too. BE SAFE. Peace...✌️

There's also a precautionary aspect if people know the whole story. And since some people are expecting children... some support or "guard" gave way when the child went to the window. He'd do that often and the nanny thought it was secure. It was a freak accident. Never put a child in a situation where "fail" could cause death or injury. Remember Michael Jackson and the balcony controversy? You want a nice big buffer between your child and death -- especially when they're too young to help themselves.

You move forward but you never forget, you never get over it and you just find reasons to keep walking. If I hadn't had my other (adult) kids to think of I wouldn't have made it at all. *@B weeks-marshall* Huh? Eric Clapton's "version" is *_THE VERSION,_* my friend. He also co-wrote _"Tears In Heaven"_ with Will Jennings specifically about EC's little boy, Conor Clapton. I can't figure out where you could have thought you heard another version? Maybe you were thinking about when the Osborne's and multiple musicians did a Hurricane Relief video using this song? IDK. Anyhow, you are certainly right about it being "one of the most painfully emotional songs ever written or sung as a tribute for a lost child." I couldn't agree more, that was well said. Be safe and be well. ~Peace!

I had heard the song before, but I’ll never forget the first time I heard it 4 months after our daughter passed away. We were visiting “family” (not blood related), and I was talking with one of them, when the song came on. I just broke down and ran to another room and cried my heart out. Our daughter was 19 at the time. She would have been 33 now. My heart still breaks when I hear it. It just also breaks for Eric Clapton, knowing what it feels like to lose a child.
