A little about me and this channel:
My name is James Aubrey IV and I just recently graduated college from Iowa State University. After college I decided to take a leap of faith. So I moved to San Diego California to pursue my passion for videography/ KZread. Overall I'm a pretty chill person, outside of KZread I like to longboard, dance, play video games, lift weights and hangout with my friends. I know that success on KZread won't happen overnight but I'm willing to stay patient and put in the work to try to prefect my craft daily. This KZread channel will be centered around my life after college. You will be able to see all of the ups and downs on my journey to success. So if you like the content make sure you subscribe so you can be apart of the Rome Life Family. (Let's build our own personal Rome's together.)
What is the Rome Life ? And What does it mean to be apart of it?
Rome Life is something I started during my Sophomore year of high school (one of the worst times in my life) it started off as me documenting my journey to recovery from my shoulder surgery but eventually it turned into a platform that I could use to encourage myself as well as others to chase our dreams.
Rome Life isn't just a saying it's a way of life and for the people who want to be apart of it have to realize that. Rome wasn't built in a day it took a lot of handwork time and most importantly patience. So you can't expect your dreams to be any different
This is a reaction video used to educated and give my feedback on the song and artist

The Beatles have the widest range of world class songs of any band, ever. Eleanor Rigby to Back in the USSR. Blackbird to Revolution, Penny Lane to Help......every album had several hits, and more number ones than anyone. And there would have been more number ones, but their own songs got in the way. In the late '64 to '65 era, they often had four or five in the top ten. Never been done, never will be again.

Literally, unless the one person has an open mind and the other person has the insight to lead, it's almost wasted. There are about 1643 dimensions of the Beatles. You can never focus on just ONE aspect of their music. You need to be able to embrace the fact that there is genius coming from every side, and that their magic isn't one dimensional.

This is one sound of the Beatles. They have hard rock (Helter Skelter), deep thought (A Day in the Life), broken hearts (For No One), and so many more. You cannot hear 1 song and think you know them. You are fooling yourself. You need to listen to them in chronological order to experience their maturity and growth. Rock with She Loves You and end with Abbey Road! You will go on a journey. You ain't seen nothing yet.

You have unlocked an unimaginably powerful journey into a new and exciting place, music will never be the same and your mind exposed to a new philosophy or way of thinking.

The Beatles don't have a 'sound'. Other than 'they're The Beatles'. They never played one type of music. They experimented. They played. They tried different things. They evolved. This one's from '65.

The Beatles did have a "sound". They evolved greatly over the seven years of their recorded career and along the way employed new sounds and novel recording techniques, but all along, they always sounded like The Beatles. The best way to know this is to listen to other acts and you'll notice if they"sound" like the Beatles or not. Be it Cheap Trick or Oasis or even late Tears for Fears, three bands that have absolutely nothing to do with each other, you know when they're trying to sound like the Beatles. It's really easy to pick up. That's what tells you whether those guys had a sound or not.

Came out in 1965. Most covered song in music history. My experience with the song is very personal. My dad was all about Sinatra and used to diss me for 'listening to that crap'. Then when we were watching Ed Sullivan Paul played and sang Yesterday. I'll never forget his reaction. He just quietly said, "Wow, what a song." He never spoke dismissively about the Beatles ever again. That's the power of the simplicity of Yesterday.

A good way to "learn" the Beatles - because there are soooooo many songs as you will see in this comment section - might be to get a list of Beatle songs in chronological order and sample a few from each year. This way you can experience them the way we did "back in the day" ... you will see how they musically progressed over the years. I, of course, have a soft spot for the early years because I grew up with them - but I love them all! Their music is important because without them a lot of the music of today would not be! Anyway, just a suggestion. Final note - can you please turn up volume on both music and your talking - mostly your talking ... you speak so quietly! Thank you.

The Beatles evolved with every album they did. You really deserve to hear their entire anthology in chronological order to experience the evolution. You'll understand why they are considered to be the most influential band in music. Things they did pioneered the way for everyone that came after them. Even after they broke up they continued to find success. John Lennon's solo career while cut short by his murder left a lasting impression on music, and Paul McCartney went on to form the band Wings with his wife and find even more success. We'll probably never see a band like them again.

Before it, Beatles songs were mostly about teenage love and used conventional musical instruments and melodies. “Yesterday” was their first song with deeper complexities, melodies, instruments, and lyrics IMHO. It was the beginning of their musical maturation process. World music was changed forever.

I feel like nearly every Beatles song is different from the others. Music was changing rapidly during their hayday. That's why you have been confused by songs you have reacted to by this period. They later on inspired genres that had time periods that reigned for later generations. You could compare that to other artist who have albums comprised of songs that all pretty much sound the same. That has been pretty common of artist. Even before records and radios, composers and singers lean towards a sound and style. I would love for you to react to groups inspired by, created because of, or allowed to be funded due to The Beatles popularity. My favorite of those groups is The Monkees. I think the Shrek movies had covers of their songs.

I agree with @telynn. The Beatles were the ones who changed music and culture and even the world. I heard an interview with Ringo and he said that they never wanted to do the same song/kind of song twice. It was such a big deal that they constantly find new things, new ways, and that when they were recording he'd even switch drum sets between songs so as not be be playing the same one on every song on an album.

"Yesterday" came out in 1965. It was a huge hit at the time, partly because it was written by and features Paul (McCartney), who was the favorite Beatle of teenage girls, being the prettiest one. Also, it's a simpler melody than other of their songs and so was easier for teen guitarists to learn. "She's Leaving Home" from their 1967 album, "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band," is a very affecting song which many overlook.

If you think 'Yesterday' was a simple song to play correctly, then you're just not playing it right. You could busk a simplified version with basic chords in F which is what a lot of players assumed, but Paul detuned his guitar a whole tone and played it in G, and emphasised bass note progressions that run through the chords. It's the subtleties that make this song an all time classic.

I think what made the Beatles in mine and other peoples eyes “the best and most influential band ever” was the fact that they didn’t stick to one thing. They pushed the boundaries of music and made things that have never been made before. Their music is special, not just with the most well known songs, but their whole discography. The lyrics and the music, the meaning behind it all. It’s all just special and something I don’t think will ever be repeated.

The Beatles had evolved as band from being more pop music at first, and as time and albums went by evolving into a psychedelic scene directly because of the influence of hardcore drugs. If you listen to the albums song by song, in album order, you can see their evolution. They were geniuses in all stages and came out with a lot of albums.

There is a reason why The Bealtes are so revered and universally loved, because they practically invented so many genres of music that were then cultivated by bands and artists that followed. Every musician from the last 50 years has, at some point, been influenced by The Beatles. Hard Rock, Psychedelia, Folk, Singer-Songwriters, Pop, Blues, Garage Rock, Soul, its all there! I agree with all the comments about listening to them chronologically to appreciate how far they came in such a short space of time, but still to this day, I am amazed that in the space of 8 years they produced such an incredible back catalogue of music, that was so forward thinking and groundbreaking, which changed music forever and ingrained itself so deeply into musical culture. Their entire career was less than a decade, some bands can only produce 2 albums in that time! Never underestimate how influential this band was and continues to be!

This is the most covered song ever of all time. The handwritten lyrics are in the British Library in London. It's been covered more than 2000 times!!! The Beatles are the most influential band ever. Because they did every kind of music, and beautifully. Even, John Lennon, experimented with rap in the 1970s ("Give Peace a Chance") before it was a thing. Even roaring twenties ("Honey Pie") and Metal ("Everybody's Got Something to Hide, 'Cept for Me and My Monkey"). And everything in between. Rolling Stone magazine still ranks "Sgt. Pepper as the most influential album of all time, with good reason. None like them, before or since.
