In the company of the greatest guitar players of all time.... and such a nice guy. I have met him twice in the airport. The first time I had my daughter with me and he was so nice to her. She was 14 and a violinist. She had her instrument with her and when he saw the case he started to ask her thoughts on various music that she played. He was genuinely interested in her music. The second time I met him he was sitting across and one row up from me on a plane. I introduced myself and told him about how his meeting and talking to my daughter was so great for her. He remembered the occasion!!! God it is nice to see such a superstar behave like a gentleman and be so nice to a young fan. Thanks for so much great music....

My experience with EC was similar. I met him in an elevator in our hotel and he stayed on the SAME FLOOR. Imagine my shocking reaction. He talked with me the whole time from the first floor to our floor about his concert that I'm going to see that night. We talked as we walked down the hall way until he had to turn right to his room and I turned left to my room at the other end of the wing. I guess we were at the CROSSROAD. :) I was walking on cloud that afternoon and evening as I saw him in concert.

And Mick Jagger and Bryan Adams and few other artists used to perform in Pakistan back in 80s and 90s but not anymore due to economic instability in our country.

I have a granddaughter named Layla. She plays the piano and guitar. She is 15 and goes by the nickname recently as Finch. She is on several KZread pages. She listens to music and then rewrites it. One that is on this page this time is her version of Front Street by Will Wood and the Tape Worms. For her age, she is extremely talented.

I'm not that old, but to see this old men playing this song when he made music his whole life just gives me a kind of feeling that live is short and you should enjoy it.

Eric Clapton makes me remember my passedaway dad a lot... wear glasses, liked to play the guitar, and was a fan of Clapton, until a fking disease struck him like a truck. RIP dad.

I just found this live version a couple weeks ago and have been listening to it non-stop. I never knew Eric Clapton was such a magnificent live performer. Wow!

It’s mental how every month I listen to this song about 10 times a pop and it still blows my mind on how good it is . The beginning of this song where he is just playing about and that sensational ability to then join that bit to this song and he does it so smoothly . I think that’s my best bit about this song on how clean the tune is and done it so smoothly it’s like when you pour cream on your cake just smooth layering it’s brilliant

This song is beautiful and raw - it is a real life experience of emotions he had and you can feel it, still. I love this song. Classic!

There’s a song called “The Rise and Fall of Bossanova”, and it’s the world longest song. It lasts 13 hours and listening to it ten times would give you 5.58 more days to live.

i am in my late 60's and been been listening to Eric Clapton since his days with group The Cream..EC Is simply a Genius

What’s almost poetic to me is that when we hear Layla first, it’s a chaotic confession of an unspoken love and lust of a young performer with the world at his feet, in many cases played extremely fast, filled with bending and pinch harmonics. As Clapton got older he is now sitting in his chair, and the guitar, even though still playing the same melody - it is now reminiscing the old times, calmly yet playfully, with a little more maturity. Such is the genius of Eric Clapton.

I saw E. Clapon in concert at home in France. Wow, what an emotion, I was still young but I still have goosebumps. My big regret is not having seen BB King and Clapton together in concert. That’s how it is, that’s life.

This version is simply amazing, it has such a great vibe. I love how Eric talks to the audience.

This is my 16 month old son's favourite song. Glad I'm doing something right! Thank you Mr Clapton. God bless you! 😊✌🏼🙏🏼

The greatest, most natural player of my long life. I've loved EC since I was in high school way back. All these years later, I still listen to his music daily. Layla was the big song that was played at all the wild high school parties. It's still such a wonderful song andthe meaning behind it never gets lost on me.

This song will forever be one of EC's BEST EVER

At this point the youtube mix algorithm has figured out that I almost never skip this when it autoplays, so I hear it sometimes multiple times a day. I'm not complaining :D I love this song.

Eric is the greatest musician of all times. This will be my funeral song.

The story around the song says so much about the whole vibe coming from its best version, sang from the author acoustic version, its magnific.

@@v.c.7330 Guitars go out of tune if you're in cold/ hot area and also when you play it. So they'll usually fix it before the next song... So yea

Clapton is in the top 3 greatest guitarists in rock history imo. His guitar is an extension of himself, and it shows every time he picks it up and plays. Effortless and extraordinary.
