ERIC ANDRE GIVES ADVICE AS A GECKO - Therapy Gecko
Комедия
I am joined by comedian Eric Andre to talk to people on the phone as geckos.
Eric is known for his hit comedy series “The Eric Andre Show” and has a new podcast called Bombing With Eric Andre on the iHeart network.
We talk to a caller who’s entangled in a flakey romance, a Norwegian guy living in his mom’s basement, a truck driver who thinks I am very sad, an employee of the British government, and caller who we plan a historic dinner with.
We also talked to each other about being Jewish, childhood, drugs, and a lot of other things.
Whoever keeps egging my car please stop. I am a gecko.

I love living with my mom in my 20s! I love getting to see her and cook for her and be her friend now that I'm and adult. Her dad died a few years ago, and it made me think about how much time we spend with our parents, and I want to spend time with my mom.
@the_real_Kurt_Yarish

I used to spend a good deal of time at my dad's, and I was pretty much his best friend he had for several years until he died. Those times we shared are my fondest memories of him, and I honestly wish I had done even more with him. Still, precious moments we shared, even if it was mostly cooking home meals together, shooting the shit, and watching a couple movies. Treasure being that close to your parent/s.

I remember the happiest moment I've ever felt in my life, it was right after I finished all my final exams for high school. It was just this blissful sense of completion. I'm only 4 minutes in but this is the most serious I've ever seen Eric Andre on camera.
I haven’t been able to get away from internalizing when someone clearly isn’t interested and I end up thinking something must be wrong with me, and they all become kind of cumulative like I get more stressed and anxious each time and less willing to put myself out there again. And I’ve gotten hyper sensitive to it, like the second I see a small sign of disinterest I just bail. I need to figure out how to adopt Andre’s attitude, like that’s so much more healthy. I guess we all have our shit to deal with. Great show!
Compassion focused therapy is the most powerful way to heal. It shifts signaling patterns and physically changes one’s brain over time. DBT (Dialectical behavioral therapy) is concurrently incredibly powerful as it provides tools to reduce distress and regulate one’s emotional states. Love ya Eric. Nice to meet you Lyle Forever.

Rule of thumb for anyone hung up on a girl or guy. If a person is really into you they will make any effort to be with you or hang out, especially girls, if they want to hangout, a huge part of the time they will make hints or actively hit you up to see you. If someone likes you they will be talking to you. Don’t give your love to people that don’t deserve it y’all

I gotta be honest. Eric Andre could use some better boundaries. I felt him to be. Obtrusive, obtuse, flagrant. I don’t know what he drank on the show. I liked him being real in the beginning talking about his difficult life growing up but right before the show started he was like.. are these people our adversaries? (Misperceiving threat). And then proceeded to behave adversarially/offensively to the guests. I’m not saying this was a bad show. All I’m saying is that Eric Andre obviously lacks boundaries. This entire show he stepped on gecks and the callers toes. He interrupted with just noise coming from his face hole. I take him to be chaotic. I think he messed up the flow in this entire podcast, he completely took it over from the jump, and that’s okay! We all have our time in life where we are like this. Sometimes I’m not a huge fan of a very domineering male, not tryna hate Eric. Just. Maybe. Let other people talk every now and again.
