Why do we love gold? I think it is that deep down, humans are rather simple, and gold is SHINY! We are attracted to all that glitters, gold, gems, and the like. Hope to see you on the 21st where I can get me some more SHINY! My beach box is almost done!

The urge for gold is primal. At least for me it is. Almost feel like it was in me from birth. Not sure if that's a good thing or not. lol

Many male birds collect trinkets, specifically colored plants and other goodies, to attract females. Likewise, male fish and birds are often the more colorful, ornate sex of the species. I guess the point is that women, for whatever reason, like gold, so men have always dug for it.

What kind of mats are you running for beach sand?? We're working on converting our piglet for a recirculation beach box

Ok so gold....nuggets..”TEARS OF THE SUN” has been important to humans since the beginning of time because we are flawed lol “my precious” look it’s shiny and oooooh shiny... lol but it’s also easy to work with and resistant to corrosion and tarnishing plus it’s one of the easier metals to obtain and form into coinage or jewelry or decoration primitively speaking. The other metals you have to extract from hard rock and go through a bunch of steps to get a final pure product. AND it’s shiny..... it’s also universally dispersed... so everyone has something in common to barter with, dare I say the the first accepted universal currency? And it’s shiny! I’m not to sure about the alien side of the story but maybe you could make the jump with the various mythology stories of “gods, men and gold” bottoms line is, I think humans have been infatuated with gold because since before we had the technology and the knowledge to do what we do nowadays gold was rare enough, unique enough and easy enough to find and form into what ever we wanted that it became a symbol of wealth and power. OH! AND ITS SHINY!!!! It gives everyone who takes the time to find it a sense of pride and value that they are part of a bigger world and story then just the regular rat race of every day life.. plus the chance that you could fined the “BIG ONE” or the mother load! How cool is that. AND ITS SHINY! And that’s just my NUGGET of personal opinion haha happy hunting folks and good luck!
