If that silver stuff is hard it could be platinum.. I found a platinum nugget with my metal detector in Canyon City, Ore. It was worth $5000 at the time.

Platinum nuggets have been collected on Pashastin Creek claims (next valley over from where you are). See Wikipedia for details and pictures. Platinum is heavier than gold (21.45 g/cc) and stays behind when panning.

Likely the shiny metal is platinum. Sometimes I find small pieces of it when I prospect in the Olympia/Shelton/Capitol Forest area.

could be shavings from the sluice . or nickel

Is that normal to put dry dirt in? Saw a video before that said to always have your dirt wet

Wet dirt is definitely best. Dan sprayed water in the hole a couple times but It was over 100° that day so everything dried quickly.

It could be little pieces of the shovel from crushing into those rocks. (The silver stuff)

What kind of prospecting video doesn't have a single gold shot? Made me wait 14 mins for nothing basically. Appreciated to see however that you filled in the hole. It's such a pretty area.

Yeah 😀 that's why I named it prospecting instead of gold mining. That area was such a let down. Awesome place to camp or hike but not enough color to show off. Thanks for spending the time watching and leaving a comment.

we only have placer gold that's like flower gold here I'm willing to move out west also I keep 100 bee hives if you know anybody that dose bees full time. I got more skills than I can speak about

Yeah we get alot of flour gold too, unless we go to the Cascades. I don't know anyone that keeps bees 😀
