It is like (a) saga. Epos means “a number of poems with an epic theme” or simply epic, an epic story or a word or a epic song... it i is dependent on the context.

I always check out what these guys have to say before buying any tech. By far the most extensive reviews out there.

I actually like the change to epos for gaming products cause I feel like their gaming products don't meet the audiophile grade that sennheiser is known for and I'm sure that's why they're making two segments to differentiate from cheaper gaming products and more expensive audiophile grade products

His sample defective = entire product faulty, apparently.

For anyone watching this who is new to headphones and DACs, the differences this guy describes between the three DACs (like audio being warmer or deeper or more analytical), those differences are very subtle. He makes it sound like swapping between those DACs will be a night/day difference, but that is not the case. A lot of people would likely not even be able to discern any difference. DACs perform a very simple function and there isn't any "magic" happening, just engineering. The type of headphone you use with the DAC and the quality of your sound source (quality of the digital audio for example) is what matters most. Get you a DAC that's affordable and has the features you need, and you'll be set.

my concern here is the mic port. i currently have 2 mics. a 20 buck lavalier and a antlion modmic 3. i cant use the modmic bause neighter my creative ae5, nor the mainboard has good loudness on the mic, even on max. its extremly quiet. internet says, the mod mic needs more energy from the mic port then normal devices but no soundcard ever poses how much power the is to work with

As many people have stated this, it feels like an odd move to do this because of the logo and brand image with EPOS... however! This makes me think Sennheiser is planning on investing more into gaming audio, so let's hope they actually do that.

Good to have mentioned the OK audio capabilities of modern mobos. I'd be curious to hear the difference between an external DAC, a well shielded ALC 1200, a badly shielded ALC 1200, and a well shielded ALC 887.

That Reverberation setting makes a huge difference. I feel that is the option I was missing when I used the Steelseries Artcis 7 and the Logitech G Pro. I returned both however, since the sound stage felt very narrow compared to the G430 that I've been using for over 6 years now. Still looking for an upgrade.

Buy the Epos Sennheiser H6Pro w/ GSX300

you should really do a re-review, i just did a windows update and now the volume it was at at around 80 is around 30. whatever updated made the GSX 300 absolutely fucking blast now. i would 100% recommend this product

Watching that intro makes me feel I'm watching how Fight Club got started.

I fell in LOVE with my Sennheiser PC363D headset. For my usage it really is the best and by now in 2022 it is essentially discontinued and it's upgrades don't have the USB soundcard included with them. Would this and one of the newer (37x/38x) models be a fitting replacement? I have heard the 37x series had less impressive audio than the 363D.

This review just made me want the Schiit fulla 3 more, I have an Audiotechnica ATH-M50x (38Ohm 99dB SPL/mW) and its a bit quiet with my motherboard's jack.

Beyerdynamic DT 990 pro with the sound blaster AE-7 sound card and the sound blasterX G6. It’ll do for a good couple of years I hope. I was using the Logitech pro and the Astro A40’s. Both with the mixamp and once I switched over to open back it changed me forever.

Sad to hear the Fulla broke. It's probably one of my best purchases in awhile. Hopefully you'll have another one for the future video. :)

I'm just happy with my Sound Blaster Z and my new pair of Sampson SR850's. These cans are probably the best I've owned, only made better that they were quite affordable, and have a pretty wide sound stage.

You can use a VPN if your COD update is bottlenecked at 2mb/s. For some reason, whenever there is a lot of people updating, in a specific region, they will cap your download bandwidth.

I would be interested about a review of the schiit hel. I have the syba sonic and it does the job but I would like to step up in quality at some point. The only thing that bugs me about the GSX 300 is that there's no rca/3,5mm out to plug it in a power amp for speakers like that syba has, if it did I would consider getting one.

Yeah, I found this out a month or so ago when I was getting the warranty for my GSP 500's done, it's just odd.

How are teh audio samples supposed to work? Depending on the headphones, speakers and sound card it'll sound different on each system anyway.

I have a pair of Sennheiser HD599SE's and I have a GSX1000, but find myself setting game sound to 50% and still having the volume at 16/18%. Are the HD599's too easy to drive hence the low needed volume, if so, would the GSX300 be a better shout for gaming on the HD599's?

I have the 250Ohms DT990 Pro, with the FiiO E10K I find it a bit quieter than I’d like, what would be a good alternative to the FiiO ?

I bought it, I love it but I wish it was loud. The sound is a bit on the weak side. It won't rupture your eardrums but 100 % should be 75% on my Asus Supreme FX Motherboard sound card. I only bought it mainly for the surround sound and it works great. It sounds like you have a speaker in front of you. When I have free time, I will try and play FPS games.

Damn artificially added reverb sounds awful, especially out in an open field... All that artificial virtual enhancement is a complete detriment to audio experience!

I disagree. Play around with HeSuVi. It uses filters that does a great job at mimicking the major brands like Dolby Atmos headphone, GSS etc etc. It has a ton to choose from and even if you don't like virtualization then you can even use it just for crossfeed which only portions the stereo sound in both speakers on your headphone without ruining the sound signature.

Still no review on the Creative G6?! I use it with the 58X and they sound awesome at just 20 percent.

I wonder if this DAC can push well the GSP 500's,cuz i need to turn up all the way the volume knob on the headset and in windows volume up to 60% and i feel that its not enough.
