I cannot over-emphasize how much I LOVE THE RED RANUNCULUS! The colour is stunning on you and I have to say you look wonderful, I had Covid last January and looked like absolute you-know-what. Thanks for a great episode as always. I'm inspired to try my hand at candles. Those Blitzen socks are going to be awesome!

Toujours très agréable d’avoir de vos “tricotesques “ nouvelles 😊! Ce dernier ranunculus n’est pas le moindre , comme on dit ; il est magnifique et vous va à merveille 🥁🎄⭐️At the end , when I see you crocheting your blanket , I saw your father’s (? ) picture on the shelf and I have a warm pensée for him ( Lac-B.😊). I also think “what a fabulous way of leaving “living souvenirs “ of You for your loved ones , with your podcast … I find the thing we miss the most of a love one is his or her voice … Yours is well engraved somewhere with this KZread channel !😉Bye bye 👋 Passez the Belles Fêtes avec votre famille ! 🎄🐈☃️🌤🥂🏡🥁

Beautiful red ranunculus! And I must say my body shape is very similar to yours. I enjoy seeing what patterns you knit to get an idea how well they fit you. Only wish I could whip up cardigans, etc. as quickly as you. Sorry to hear you hadn’t been feeling well. Here we are nearing the end of January, so I do pray you are feeling much better. Sometimes, these cooks have a way of lingering on for weeks. Hopefully you have regained your senses back. Yoda, is such a sweetie of a cat. My cat is a dark calico and her name is Patches. She’s a little schitzo with people but is always my companion. She is eight years old. I love listening to your music selections to the very end! Thank you Selma. StitchedbyMimi

Hope you wll feel better soon dear Selma. The thing with tastes and smells are curious. Actually all we can taste is sweet, salty, sour and bitter. In the recent past scientists have found another taste detector, which is "fatty". But actually all the other sensations we feel are not in the taste but in the smell, and that is detected through our noses! Easy experiment to validate this is to hold your nose and then eat or drink something. You can only detect the above mentioned sensations. 🙂Hope your nose sensors will clear up and heal, so you can have all the wonderful smells again dear Selma. Love the red Ranunculus a lot. It suits you so well. Huggs from Germany.

Thank you so much, Selma. Lovely to see your Ranunculus. I have knit several of them, as well. It looks terrific on you! I am glad you are on the mend from Covid. Natural honey, unpasteurized, really helps soothe my throat. I just use a teaspoon at a time, if my throat is "rough"! I love the pics of your cat checking out the decorations. They really like to give their approval! I am hoping to knit the Mega Diamonds cardigan. Yours looks so lovely. Enjoy your holiday season. Carol

I'm sorry to hear your Mom and you are sick. You were saying you have to taste and smell. About a year or so before Covid started here, I got really sick with some kind of flu and was down about three weeks. It was the first time being sick that I lost my taste and smell. I didn't get them back all the way. I can taste now, but not like I use to. And my sense of smell has never come back all the way. Which make baking and cooking a challenge some times. Your sweater is beautiful. I just love knitting the Ranunculus sweater. I thought I would mention a podcaster I watch from your area. LochBriarKnits Thank you for taking the time to podcast while you are sick. I hope you all get well before Christmas and have and happy healthy Christmas.

Glad you are on the mend & congrats on finishing your red Ranunculus. I appreciate that you knit from so many different designers - I've been feeling lately that every podcaster only knits designs by PetiteKnit. No offense to PetiteKnit, but I watch knitting podcasts in part to learn about different knitting patterns - not just the same ones again & again. So even if I don't knit them, I really appreciate the variety you bring!

Lovely music at the end of this podcast. With regards to the patterns you choose to knit, I tend to watch podcasters whose patterns I would choose to give serious considerations to knitting. Although the list is getting longer. I am glad when someone knits the same pattern over again. It gives me a chance to look more into the pattern and wool choices. When I like what the podcaster knits or has as a favorite, I think that if we ever met, I feel that we would have more in common than knitting. Covid does lay you low for a while, get well soon.

A show to check out on Netflix...Lupin. We enjoyed it very much and are looking forward to season 3. It is a French show dubbed in English....it surprises me that we gave it a chance, as dubbed programmes are not our thing, but Lupin is so good that we didn't even notice the dubbing. Just found you because of the title Red Ranunculus, which is beautiful. I have just picked up knitting again after not knitting for several years. I hope I will become confident enough to try lace in the future. I live in a warm climate, so I am always looking for summer styles that are pretty.

Selma, if you get amazon prime, I found a new series Three Pines, which I didn’t even realize it was based on Louise Penny, I just started to watch it as it was in the top 10 Canadian watched shows, and I have read all but her last book. It’s good, inspector Gamache does not wear a cardigan and cords though! Hope you recover fully and get to taste the treats of the season,Melissa.

Your Red Ranunculus sweater is beautiful, Selma. I started watching this episode yesterday, and saved the second half for today. In the meantime, this morning I was watching CamiJoKnit's Vlogmas episode and all of a sudden a scene from your Red Ranunculus episode popped up in the background, just a quick glimpse! You've done wonders with your Mega Diamonds Sweater, and I love the Pink Lilac color from CamiJoKnit's yarn. Really exquisite. New subscriber.

Oh Selma, the red is lovely on you! May you get a great deal of enjoyment from it. The blanket is getting really large and I love the way the cream ties the colors together. The lace cardigan will be great too. When I worked in offices, layers were necessary; no matter the outdoor temp, the indoor temp varied depending on who was traveling and who was in. One guy would soak his shirts at 60 and most of us women wore lined slacks and sweaters or suit coats that we could take off and put on. Keep healing, and yeah, the lemon is probably providing vitamin C as well as that bit of flavor.

Thé indoor temperatures are usually set by male standards… women need the layers and thankfully knitted items can live at the office too 😃😃

Oh my, the red Ranunculus was worth the wait for the right yarn- just lovely- and it makes up for last year’s disappointing Christmas knit. The granny square blanket is so colorful and bright, but oh my, the ends you will have to weave in reminds me why I never do blankets- my attention span is too short and all that weaving in is too wearying for me. That pink sweater is divine and reminds me of the sweaters that my mum knit for my sister and me back in the early sixties out of a yarn called Molana, which was a mohair that was somewhat bulky, but very light. We thought we looked like movie stars when we wore them. Lol! Sorry to hear you have had COVID. It seems it will get us all eventually. Thankfully, with all the vaccinations and boosters, the disease is not so severe. So far I have escaped it, but I am sure my time is coming, as I am doing a bit of traveling. Just realized I forgot to bring my advent self striping yarn, so I guess my advent will be in January! I am doing Kay Jone advent KAL, which is a Christmas stocking, which is timely, as I seem to have lost my stocking. I am currently staying at my daughter’s place in Kelowna caring for my grand dog while my daughter’s family enjoys a week in Mexico and then I am off to San Francisco to enjoy the festive season with another daughter and family that includes my youngest grand babies, who are 2 and 4- so excited to see Christmas magic through their eyes. Have a great Christmas, Selma and we will see you sometime over the season- hope you are back to health and able to taste some festive treats soon. ❤🎉
