Another very interesting in depth video , I have never heard any thing like this in years , Bill Bud back in the 1960 ,s at our youth club who use to come in and teach motor cycle tune ups .I think he was an ex TT I.O.M. ENGINEER . Not forgetting Marsh and Fry in our town who raced at the TT . Brings back sad memories of my late dads R.E 500 twin that blew the engine twice and was relergated to the roof in our bungalow for about 12 years ,before being sold as parts to fund my first bike . Keep it up and thanks for the education of old days passed .

Since I just picked up my 2021 Interceptor 650 3 weeks ago and love it , I have since changed out the exhaust I can feel the engine wants more , air filter next , a K&N probably , cheaper here in Perth . Thanks guys for your channel , its what Australia needs as these bikes are awesome and very popular . ps. I am an engine builder at home ( Mopar ) and a Fitter welder by trade , so yes the S&S cam shaft is on the cards .

I've put cams in other bikes, but when I realized some time ago that you have to change the spring shims on this one, and probably while your at it do porting , (since it should be removed) unless you use the compressed air technique, I decided not to for go that mod since I don't have a shop any more and live in the provinces of the Philippines. (that just means I can't just run out and get parts easily) . Great reality check for those inexperienced would be do it yourself types, and you make a valid point to seek professional help on this kind of mod for the RE.

The bike now has a big idling problem when the engine is hot. Whenever i try to crank the engine it just struggles to start and quickly dies but the problem is not present at cold starts .The low end is also unusally jerky and jittery...but the bike pulls clean after 4k rpm.I am currently using a fuel map for the s and s mufflers and cam with air cleaners...i dont seem to understand what the real issue is.....any advice would be grateful
