After watching all your videos, I came to the conclusion that for me it's only worth upgrading to 865 when I need to rebuild the engine, for now my bike has 41 thousand kilometers, so I think it will take a while. Your videos are very informative about the upgrade. Thank you for sharing your experience with us.

@@SvenTviking Different Dyno's are different that's why there's different stats HIS bike on the same Dyno as yours may give his bike more Hp & was it measured at crank or wheels. Also do you have any head work or cogs done? Reverlry only get 70hp at the wheels & that's with big valve CNC head for street & 75-76RwHp for race applications.Hitchcocks get 59-60hp at the wheels with just the 865 kit with headers, cam,Power commander.Haven't heard of the Kent cam that also will increase HP some which might explain high Dyno stats as well will have to take a look.

Hi @@BobKramer51 , I did this because I'm having great fun wrenching, it's very exciting and rewarding when you successfully complete a job like this and you learn a ton of new stuff while doing it. Of course I love the extra power and torque but ultimately it's not that I wanted only an 865, I wanted to do it myself for all the above reasons. So in my case I would say: "conversion needed". I hope this answers your question and thank you for watching!

I know the pain of this job. Good job getting it done! I actually looked at your part 1 video before I made my video, while I was doing research. I was wondering if you would ever make a part 2. I know that 58 hp is probably a tad disappointing based on what is advertised for this set of upgrades. I'm not plugging my channel, but I am going to release a video with my dyno results in a few days. I'm going to explain how I got my numbers quite a bit higher than that for not much more money. You are going to want to see it since you already made the investment you have.

@@ksmotoshed7961 have got to comment on the stated 58.1 hp. If that is dyno (rear wheel) output it is not a disappointment. I own two 865cc Triumphs that are 67 and 68 horsepower by factory specifications. A test ten years ago showed my Bonneville SE to have 58.6 hp at 7,400 rpm; both the Bonnie and Thruxton are DOHC and fuel injected, compression is similar. Your 863cc Enfield is mid-60's hp...

@@frederickwoods5943 I agree and I was never disappointed. I think that dyno numbers are not absolute values and there are many factors affecting the result. @@ksmotoshed7961 that is sound reasoning, use the same type and method for testing then compare the results. I use gauges for oil temperature and cylinder head temperature on my bikes, never argue or question accuracy because they are for monitoring changes as work is done on the bikes.

RE 650's tourqe delivery starts so low in the rev range 80% at about 2200rpm as other bikes it's over 3-4000rpm.That is why it's fun to ride & with big bore kit, while the numbers are low it's the tourqe delivery of the R.E that in the real world punches way above it's weight with bikes with much higher numbers.

Congratulations! I have an almost identical setup: TEC Stinger, DNA filter, S&S cam and 865 kit. I put 300 miles on it without a piggyback unit then drained the break-in oil and adjusted the valve clearances. I’m getting the ECU flashed this week (he does each cylinder independently) then dyno-tuned. I’ll get back to you with the results. Dyno numbers can vary depending on several variables but a friend of mine did the high compression pistons with the Hitchcock’s camshaft (he also polished the ports and combustion chambers) then had it flashed and dyno-tuned and got 60HP. The PCV is pretty crude compared to having the ECU flashed by someone who knows what he’s doing (no ignition timing, for example) so I’m anxious to find out how much those numbers had to do with the polishing and the racier camshaft or if it was mainly due to tweaking the ECU. I’m keeping my fingers crossed because I’m only doing this once. Anyway, always appreciate your content.

Powertronic sold by Reverlry Cycles in Sydney Australia have rev extender & can only be got from them. Also they do throttle bodies & big valve heads but is very expensive but the bigger throttle bodies will give more HP & be over 60hp 64-65hp & with the big valve head 70hp is possible at a price. 58hp & 73Nm is marvelous on this bike cause the way it makes it power & tourqe delivery makes it seem like a lot more.

After 3000km I can tell you that I haven't regretted it and I take great pleasure riding and from the fact that I managed to complete the job successfully . In the next episode I'll do a ride review and a total cost which honestly I haven't yet calculated exactly, I avoid it because probably I'll weep😪.
