Episode 106. To Elbrus on Armored Wheels. Part II

Ғылым және технология

This episode of Combat Approved continues the series of films about the extreme expedition of Russian armored vehicles to Elbrus. This time the film crew together with the military vehicles will find themselves in an endless desert. Here, among the dunes in the 50-degree heat will be an amazing rally, whose participants will be our newest armored vehicles and military trucks. Their task will be to go at top speed through the desert and reach the finish line. The program journalists will show what simple sand can do to the most powerful machines, who will be the undisputed leader, and who will have to be pulled out of the desert captivity with the help of two trucks. In addition, Combat Approved will test for speed and comfort a unique platform BAZ-6909. This is the same vehicle used for the transportation of air defense missile systems S-300 and S-400. And it also will be a participant in an extreme desert survival rally.

I admire how russia is maintaining its industrial knowledge n manufacturing. Its hard to do when the WEST (especially USA) is demonizing n sanctioning any country that wants to buy Russian equipments. Keep up the good work. U guys are producing wayyy better n robust equipment 👍👍

Having driven Russian trucks, they are indestructible! But just that! Gaz66 had awful gearbox that was located aft driver and gave its drivers herniated disks. UAZ cabs sagged so bad after few months of ownership doors were not able to close. Blows head gadgets in their first 20k odometer. Having said these bad things, they have this crazy charm

Great test, the vehicles are fantastic, question is, can Russia afford meaningful quantities or as I suspect, this is a sales documentary, which is a reasonable way to fund development.

The armored car "Typhoon-K" was ordered about 100 times for the ministry of defense. The three-axle tractor "BAZ-..." is the standard-carrier of the Ru-AA-systems and therefore "numerous" (dunno the exact number). The "Ural Next" truck is announced to replace all old "Urals" in the Russian army which are hundreds. For the rest I really don´t know, and would like to know myself. All statements without guarantee! :)
