Based on interview excerpts from the Inventory of Hunsrückisch as the Brazilian Language of Immigration (IHLBrI), which were not initially selected for the documentary "To live in Brazil speaking Hunsrückisch," we have produced a series of videos with unpublished scenes recorded by the project team. The series presents different interview modalities, such as personal accounts, translations from the Swadesh-List, and free talks.
The first episode brings a biographical narrative of Silvio Meincke about his education in São Leopoldo, at the Pre-Theological Institute and, later, at the School of Theology (EST). Silvio also comments on his years as a pastor and professor at EST and relates how the German language has permeated his life.
