There's just something I genuinely enjoy about watching what I call "Chaos MTG" 😂 I tried playing this setting with my cousin and his kid and I ended up making him rage quit and I made my little cousin cry. So I've always stayed away from it. I love mill I love watching someone health dissappear on round 2/3 or milling someone in 4 or less rounds. 😅 As always Prof you bring us another fun and entertaining video. I've genuinely fallen in love with magic because of you and my cousin telling me "All the cool kids are playing MTG" during our dnd session one night.
Let's GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

No vintage, sadness...
Bosh is too humble in his presentation. Dude is an SCG invitational winner and Eternal weekend winner and perennial favorite. Watch any control league by him on his channel and you'll see just how good he is. If legacy or vintage were pro tour formats he'd be up there consistently.

Legacy is rarely about that in fact. There are these hyper-efficient tempo decks and reanimators and Show & Tells which might show you just few cards before you are dead but the rest will show you a lot of cards. And for those I mentioned you are usually prepared so it can be hell of a game at the end with ton of cards played. Try it out. 😊 8-cast played by Brian in the 1st game has 0 reserved list cards for example. The deck is nuts.
@Quiron1985

Legacy is so misunderstood. There's a reason why in a Legacy Tournament, you have 50min to complete a first to 2, and every round, a couple matches go overtime. It's just not the most powerful format, by saying that, it also has the most powerfull answers. Also, that's the definition of meta. There's an answer for everything.
Honestly Shuffle up and play has become one of my favourite series

I realise that the Commander episodes probably get the most views, but I wish there was a larger proportion of all these other formats. I've never played Legacy and probably never will, but this was an absolute blast. Really interesting gameplay in an accessible and easy to follow style, and very entertaining all the way through. Nothing wrong with Commander of course, but there's so much of it out there already and this felt very unique.
@TolarianCommunityCollege

It's a huge problem because not only do the Commander episodes get 3-4x the views, but they also are the ones people talk about, share, etc. I love these episodes, but it feels like a lot of the community just doesn't love them back.

This episode was so much fun! "He's a sick individual...and I like it!" 😂
This is the episode I was waiting for, both Bosh and Anzid are some amazing content creators and players, and despite Prof's 'playful shade' on the number of players playing Legacy, it's actually doing pretty well. Don't let the complete neglect by WotC fool you, community run events are strong and plenty!
Wow, most exciting games I saw in a while. Great cards and decks you dont see all day, played by extremely calm&collected and focused players. Thanks for the explanation of the last turn, the turn that never was.
Watching BoshnRoll in paper was even more enjoyable than his already excellent MTGO content on his channel. Here's hoping for a return appearance!
The zoom in after the brainstorm was hilarious
First time seeing these guys. Know Bosh by rep, and his reputation is well earned, he is a hypnotic personality that is absolutely hilarious. Anuraag is just great energy, another guy I am seeing on your show wondering why I am just seeing him now. Big fan of a more diverse MtG so always great to see diverse people on. Hope I can catch his streams soon.
I love the way you explain every single step!
Great guests, love me some anziD streams and BoshNRoll uploads
I just wanna say that I really enjoy the shuffle up and play series. Its been awhile since I've sat down at a table with friends and laughed like I do watching these videos. Keep it up and thanks to everyone involved, especially the folks behind the cameras we don't see. You're the real heroes. :)
Really appreciate the slow pace and explained detail of less played card for us mere mortal. thanks, very fun

This was so much fun. Thanks for the stellar narration everyone!

Love these so much prof, please keep it up. Such entertaining content and amazing editors. Thanks for all of your hard work, both prof and the production team. Much love ❤️
Bosh's deadpan "in Independence Day" absolutely slayed me. 🤣
Legacy is one of my favorite formats to watch (with intentions to dive in eventually), and this is due to seeing the lines that people take compared to the plays that I might make or be looking for in that situation. While being my first time seeing Anu play, I've been watching Bosh for a while and his content is what has helped me strive to be a better magic player. Thank you for showing off the Legacy format on Shuffle Up and Play, I can't wait to see more!
Loved every second of this. Cheers from one of the 6 Legacy aficionados around!
Two of the best people to showcase the legacy format ❤ Here go ingredients for bananana bread, im sure you got it 2 cups Bob's Red Mill gluten free flour 4-5 very ripe bananas mashed (1 1/2 cups) 1/2 cup 1/2 cup 1 stick, softened 2 2 tablespoons 1/2 teaspoon 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon 1/4 teaspoon 1/2-1 cup I used 1 cup
This is so awesome! What an incredible pair of guests!
I love this show! So well made and the guests are always great to watch go ham on camera
Please please make this series. Even doing this one per 6months would be amazing. We legacy palyers like Brian and Anuraag. Also, it is pleasure to see legacy here. 🙏 Paper legacy coverage with such quality editing is also rare. Other people should see such amazing cards more, please. 😊🙏
Great Episode :) I'd love to see the other cohosts of Brian's Podcast on the show at some point if that's an option. Again, great episode, loved the energy and decks/format. The only thing that made me a bit sad is that we didn't get to see any sideboard games. Not sure how to implement those with the structure of the show but sideboarding is always fun to watch :)
Loved seeing some Legacy on the channel! Especially loved seeing thr players you selected to battle it out! Big fan of both. Great stuff prof!!
49:33 - the editor here, so good - that zoom in after showing the brainstorm lock is subtle, but sassy, lol.
love watching my favorite 60 card format being played by my favorite youtube channels! boshnroll kept me loving magic and TCC keeps me happy and informed about it!
Loved both of these guys! Their banter and plays are super fun, and Bosh is such a great magic player; he really reads the game like a top level player. Would love to see him face off against Ced & Patrick, or maybe even someone as great as _The Professor_ one day! Legacy is such a fun format to me, because it's much more open (obv with the card pool,) and lends to the biggest variety when it comes to decks. I've never been interested in making the "most powerful" decks, or in copying the leading decks based on the top cards for the format (or any format, really,) and legacy & vintage is an easy way for me to delineate to players "I just made a deck with some good cards that I liked. I don't think anything's banned, but 🤷♂️" Back when I started playing it was fun to come up with interesting standard decks, but now it feels like there's so many formats to look into, and each one is either "the best and overpowered," or "the worst and overpowered"... I kind of realized some years ago that I didn't really like playing decks that (it sounds weird...) the goal is to win and be the best at the table. It's more fun for me to make a deck suited around a premise, combo or not, and see how well I can run it. That's a part of the reason why I was never that interested in tournament level play. There are some exceptionally talented players, absolutely; but I never cared to worry much about a record, just how a deck plays and if I enjoy it or not.
I don’t ever watch legacy but I was glued to the screen!!!! So cool
Bosh explains everthing so calmly. I have played Magic for 10 years and I just learned more from this video than I have in a very long time. Awesome video, thank you all.

"I am turning into a fly!" - Jeff Goldbloom as Ian Malcolm in Independence Day... probably.
What a great episode. Always great to see Bosh and Anurag. Some great playing and excellent choices of decks to showcase the legacy scene. It truly is one of the best formats.
I don't play Legacy due to cost restrictions, but man was this fun to watch. I've actually seen all the Legacy games on Shuffle Up and Play, but having these veterans on explaining everything made it very enjoyable. I know commander is the popular format, but there's just so much commander content it's honestly nauseating. This felt so fresh (funny as it's Legacy) and so fun, PLEASE post more Legacy content prof! I will watch, like, comment, and share this video and all future Legacy videos with my playgroup. Mtg needs this!!! ❤🎉
Those are some interesting decks. I enjoyed seeing some of the Legacy decks in action, though I'm not a Legacy player. Definitely got that Commander vibe from the first deck though. Some fun interactions between the decks and it was nice seeing the Professor pilot Wastelands, I mean Delver, to Victory!
The entire Shuffle Up And Play series has consistently been knocking it out of the park, but this episode takes the crown. 👑
Really needed this, your videos really pick me up Prof. I'm finding it really hard to come to terms with Bray Wyatt aka Windham Lawrence Rotunda's recent passing away at only 36.

seeing this complex gameplay really has me interested in trying legacy... there seem to be a decent number of players out there who are very proxy friendly so I might go hunting for a deck to try!
