He was the worst enemy of fun game. I love the guy, his videos are amazing, but this was such bullshit. Gifted victory in the worst possible way. Like, bitch, I ain't gonna win your game for you, if you wanna kill me kill me, but you'll die next turn. You can't kill us both why would I help you??? It's like when someone cry kingmaking if I go down swinging. Yes, you can kill me, but there will be consequences, if those consequences prevent you, from winning then maybe you should rethink your move.

I really thought the 14th card in Maldhounds hand on his last turn was Teferi's protection and that's how he is going to win. That would have been epic!

i believe you cant pay life with lich's mastery once you're at 0, you can only pay life you actually have

At 35:02, deepglow skate can double the counters on any number of TARGET permanents. The sword gives protection from Blue, so am I wrong to think that the equipped creature couldn't be targeted?

Wow i really love the idea of playing the community's decks. Magic is a game where we all get to pick our pieces and create a landscape on our side of the field, and this is a great way to share the ideas of the community

Too much power in Maldhound's hands!!! :) Also, Karn is on my list of decks to build, so fun to watch it in action.

Really enjoyed the guests, it's probably pretty trippy to see someone else try to play your deck!

Those are all very interesting decks and well played by all of you. That colorless deck is really good. Thank you MTG Nerd Girl, Maldhound, Megan, and Veggie Wagon for the video.

I'm glad to see a Runo commander deck in action. I have one myself and I love it, but it never wins. Just not enough means of protection, and it just swings hard. Amazing video and game as usual! ❤

I run a deck with the same idea than the one Maldhound does, but is Orzhov and lead by Verrak, Sengir Aberration. Still very cool seeing someone try the same general idea. When it works, is hilarious

Ahhhhh, when I saw the Karn Legacy Reforged in the thumbnail i was really hoping it was my build that got chosen! Oh well, mine is not optimized in the slightest, im sure Bronze Panda's build is much better than my own, guess I got more reasons to watch, possibly steal some tech cards i didn't know about.

My deck took a while to get optimized, i started with the only artifacts i could scrap by, now its on a much better state, and you are always welcome to check any updates i made to the deck on moxfield under the name BronzePanda :)

Sad that my deck wasnt picked but I understand it when seeing how unique these decks were. Very interesting decks. The colorless deck though imo was the least interesting. Colorless seems to be very strong right now as there is so much crazy ramp and high hitting colorless creatures.

@34:06 I don't think you can sacrifice the 4 vampires there because the trigger from Lich's Tomb would happen before the vampires are created from Elenda.. is that right?

As far as I can tell, the trigger from Elenda is resolving when the life is paid. While the Lich's Tomb does get triggered because Mald paid life, that "sac a permanent from each 1 life lost" would wait to go on the stack and resolve _after_ Elenda creates the Vampire Knight tokens. The reason? You can't interrupt the resolution of abilities on the stack once they begin to resolve. There is no "space" or "time" for the game to put something on the stack, until the current spell or ability to resolve does so, since a resolution also gives a player priority to respond to something still on the stack that would resolve next, such as the Lich's Tomb trigger. Which means that Mald would then sac 4 permanents because he paid 4 life. In other words, Mald played that end of turn stack correctly.

Ahh ok that makes sense. So since Elena has already started to resolve, it must finish resolving before anything else is put on the stack. These triggered abilities with costs associated to them are a little tricky I must admit

@@themightygunthorian : Actually, in Elenda's case, it's a choice. Had Mald not paid the 4 life, nothing else would have happened. All you have to remember is that while Elenda's trigger still has a cost, there is no cost to activate or put it on the stack. Had the ability been worded, "Pay 4 life :", that colon, the double-dot, would have meant that was the cost to activate and put the ability on the stack. In which case, Lich's Tomb would have triggered and resolved before Elenda's ability would resolve, and the interaction would have gone the way your question was worded. How things work with the stack is important, and in this case, Elenda and Azor are more powerful than people give them credit for.

I think this is the first time on any commander show I’ve seen where Maldhound didn’t die first.

copies make with krothusare tapped and attacking, since veggie didnt catch on to it. Krothus is my main deck with a very easy to hit infinite due in part to my many blue tutors and the ability to have a non legendary copy of krothus making infinite krothus tapped and attacking

My takeaway from this game... we need to ban more Karns. Also it helps to remember you get two main phases per turn, but that's probably less important.

Paying 4 life is the cost of Azor and Elenda's ability, so at 34:00 you have to sacrifice permanents before tokens are created. I'm I wrong?

No. The "pay 4 life" is a cost that is already resolving when the Lich's Tomb triggers. The Lich's Tomb trigger waits to go on the stack until after Elenda's EOT trigger resolves -- which means that the Vampire Knight creature tokens are already on the field when the Lich's Tomb trigger resolves. The reason why is because you can't interrupt an ability resolution once it begins resolving. Mald played it right.

I am curios, I thought the karn's mana cannot be use to cast nonartifact spells. That means she won't be able to use that mana to cast an artifact creature like the meteor golem. Megan has cast a myr retriver using karn's mana as well. I have a karn deck and I would like to know as it will changed how I pilot the deck. Note: it doesn't affect the game anyways

Both meteor golem and myr retriever have the type line of "Artifact Creature", and count as artifacts. If they were only typed as "Creature" then you would be correct.

@@Lmo777Cheers, however i am still confused as it now includes both subtypes. I thought nonartifacts means purely artifacts only. As in if it has a creature subtypes, therefore the mana is not able to do that as you are casting an artifact creature rather just artifact.

When a term has "non" as a prefix, such as "nonartifact," then all it cares about is if the spell does not have "artifact" on the supertype line (where you find types such as artifact, creature, or land on a card). Thus, "Artifact Creature" still counts as both an artifact _and_ as a creature.

I'd kinda like the monthly token, but I also want to see the exclusive videoes, and can only do one. Does youtube membership help in getting weekly episodes, or is that only revenue from Patreon?

It does help us get to weekly. We add them together for the goal. Patreon adds more to the goal as they take a smaller cut. But you will need to decide what perk is better for you.
