Welcome to part 2 of our double bill for International Men’s Day today. The aim of this day is to celebrate male role models and to raise awareness of men’s issues such as mental health, toxic masculinity, and the prevalence of male suicide.
So, without further ado, I’d like to introduce you to my 2nd role model of the week, Warren Ryan - Founder of the Got This Movement.
Warren is such an uplifting person and has overcome feelings of depression and anxiety growing up as a foster child. His mum suffered with drug abuse issues, which unfortunately meant that Warren and his siblings were separated and taken into care at a young age. However, as an adult, Warren decided to use his childhood traumas to fuel his personal development journey and help other people do the same.
He is now a public speaker and shares his story globally. He has also implemented a teaching program for children to get them more excited about learning, with a modern KZread themed twist. And he is now launching the Got This Movement - inspiring people everywhere to set goals and be collectively accountable to making those goals happen.
I am so grateful to have met Warren and to have the opportunity to interview him on the podcast. Please be aware that some of the topics we discuss and stories he shares are quite sensitive and personal and perhaps may be triggering for some listeners.
