Hello Jenny, You went about the correct way to select what you wanted. There will always be something that is not right, so move on. I love the fact that there is so much sunshine to bask in, also my perfect weather scene. France is such a gem of a Country, but like every where else, it has it's up's and downfalls. It is great to know you were patient enough to wait for the property you had good vibes from. All those places need hard work as you make it your own home yet taking into consideration the area, people and careful planning on furnishings and decorating in and outside. It was lovely to hear you telling us the story of the various areas and how certain unwanted areas were not mentioned in the history of the country homes. So, as always, it is a fact of : Buyer beware"!!. I noticed Ep. 13 is available, alas, as housewife I have laundry to collect and time is marching on. I will watch later all going well. Yes finding our house was quite an adventure, and three years on I’m still so very pleased, excited and amazed by this beautiful gem we were able to purchase. Slowly, day by day we are repairing and renovating it, and gently putting our stamp on it. But it will certainly take us some time! I’m so glad you are able to join us! 🤗

La Rochelle (Surprisingly one of the only well managed city by ecologists) and Ile d'Oleron are great hits for properties in France ! You spotted on the right region ! Congratulations

It brings so many happy memories of 13 years living and in France (2002 to 2015) firstly owning a beautiful Moulin in Poursac and then whilst we looked for our home now in Ireland rented a small house in Asnières sur Nouere which I think is not far from your your stunning home, thank you so much.

I found tin eye search very helpful plus other tricks you mentioned . Landmarks help! Pool shape! Oui! First clue . I didn’t wish to engage an agent until I had my funds cleared, out of respect for their time. It’s so sad to love a property and then discover its bordered by a race track! Hi Annie! Yes that was my favourite for a while. Those stairs! But it was just too pricey, and we would have been buying from a developer rather than a french family, and that has made such a difference to us since we moved in.

I’m planning to host yoga, gardening, cycling and music retreats, and / or a combination of all these things!

Really loved the video except about half way through the music got too loud and I had a hard time hearing you. Other than that, fantastic!

A very well put together vlog. Most fascinating. Except for....the music. It's just too loud. At any volume to hear you, the music makes it difficult to understand you.
