So after using Armstrong for the past and only 5 months of my foiling affair I wanted to try out some other brands. The interesting thing about the foil industry is that every brand has a different way of developing their product. This leads to new feels and different personal experiences with their customers. After months of KZread and instagram downloads of foil content I really started to dig the ‪@Unifoil‬ team and brand. I found that they are more on the prone side of the industry and concentrating more on those types of riders. So lets rewind to a few weeks ago when I really started to think about a equipment switch up. I obviously have been keeping a close eye on the Progression series wings that have been in development but not released to the general public yet. I am one of the most impatient humans on planet earth so I went on the Unifoil site and looked up dealers and stumbled upon ‪@thefoilshop6371‬ in Seal Beach CA. I quickly got on the phone with the owner Josh and figured out my next foil set up. After listening to the Q and A podcast by Unifoil about the differences between the Progression and the Hyper 2 wing ‪@joshku1990‬ mentioned that the 210 Hyper 2 is a great down wind wing. Down wind is my next discipline that I want to tackle so after talking to Josh from Foil Shop we decided that the 210 is a great starter wing for me to get better at my pump and also continue to foil smaller surf. So as per my first experience I am beyond stoked on how the 210 felt. As explained in this video I was pumping out further and connecting more consistently. I do need a little help with my form but thats also getting used to a whole new brand. I personally can't say enough good things about my new setup and the experience with The Foil Shop.
