For the second story, you stopped about half way. They went on trip to Vegas and she was barely noticed he was there. She dipped on him while he was showering, left him on read. She dipped on him while in museums. They were cuddling, and shortly after he states that that's he wants more of.... She rolls over, scoots away. That woman does not want him. She doesn't want him to be Miles either, she just wants the financial cushion and the things she planned with Miles to happen. He needs to get out of there asap.

Second story: I feel bad for OP. It's OK to miss someone important in your life who passed away, But don't go into a relationship if you know that you're not over your past one. She was also completely neglecting OP's needs and making him feel unloved, Which is not okay. I think that he needs to talk to her and tell her that he doesn't feel like this is working out and that she needs to have some time to figure out everything out in her life before she gets into a new relationship.

I feel bad for both. Sometimes you think you're ready to "move on" but you just aren't. She wasn't ready to start dating again but she probably thought she was ready she probably also had friends encouraging her to "get back out there" and "don't dwell on it". She probably thought a relationship would help her heal and she probably did love the OP but he just wasn't Miles. I also feel back for the OP he didn't ask to be somebody's healing relationship he just wanted a normal one. Sad for both

In the last story, the reason the "Kendra" likely asked about IFV was so that she could have them swap in "Miles's" frozen contribution but couldn't afford it on her own. Likely the whole reason for a "relationship" to trick the partner into paying for it and thinking the child is his.

I know I wouldn’t be able to move on if my husband died, so I decided long ago that if he ever did that I wouldn’t be looking for anyone else. It’s not fair to OP, and it’s clear that she just wants to have a person to give her money and a nice place to live and take care of her kid for her, not an actual husband. She wants a slave.

For story 1 I would install a kill switch. Basically you cut the ignition wire and wire in a little switch that you can hide under the dash, seat, glove compartment etc. Just to piss her off. But I think getting her arrested was definitely what she deserved.

Story 1: the aunt was being a total bully knowing that her sister would do nothing about it and had that confirmed when the mom said she wanted no part in it, the op did a good job handling the situation and that friends dad who was a cop was a good person to turn to and probably the most reasonable adult in the situation

That second story: cut your losses man. That’s the risk you take when you try to move a relationship too quickly. She genuinely doesn’t care about you.

He needs to just tell her "I love you. And I want for us to work. but I think you still need time to grieve for Miles. He was clearly very important to you, and I understand that. I empathize with you with what you're dealing with. but I feel like you still need time to mourn your loss before you're ready to pursue another relationship. I truly do hope you find someone who you can love as much as you loved miles."

In her defense, I know exactly how she feels. It's been going on five years since the love of my life passed and in some ways I'll never get over it. Her sister and I were the last to be with her when she passed. I can't look at her urn without crying the times I've visited her family. That is not easy to get over or live with. That said what she is doing is wrong.

Ngl, i would have said no to the aunt using the car, if they say "you live in my house, my rules." Id retort with "the car is under my name therefore under my authority, not yours and before you tell me If i dont like it move out well guess what, I already dont like it here so I'm already getting ready to move."

1st story: Ops mother is negligent and let her sister bully OP. The mother didn't even care that her sister stole her kids car and got arrested!!!! Seriously?!?! That mother is part of the problem.

Story 1: Good thing you got her arrested, imagine if she did this sort of thing to kids she WASN'T related too. She'd be sued and in jail for assault and theft by the parents and the school would be sued to fire letting her teach.

Story 2 That is a good reason why you don't live together until marriage. It's not just a belief, it is backed up by research showing that living together without marriage lowers the chance of that relationship lasting, even if the couple does marry later.

Solution to the first story: put your alarm clock in the panty/underwear drawer. Maybe crumple up a pair you’re going to use that day and drape it over the clock to make it look used. The idea behind this is she wouldn’t dare rummage through that drawer

S1 Looks like the mother doesn't like her kid all that much but adores her entitled sister. Probably OP resembles her dad? And the sisters are like twins in looks and nature? Who allows a guest to mess, to such an extent, with her own daughter otherwise?
